Fat Free Fudge Brownies---0.4 g fat per serving

Anything with less than 1 gram fat is considered fat free; so watch your total daily intake!

3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt (optional)
1/3 cup unsweeetened applesauce
3 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Combine flour, cocoa, sugar, and salt and stir to mix well. Stir in applesauce, egg whites, and vanilla extract. Fold in nuts. Coat an 8" square pan with nonstick cooking spray. Spread batter evenly in pan and bake at 325 degrees for 23-25 minutes or till edges are firm and center is almost set. Cool to room temperature and then cut into squares.

Thank you for the brownie recipe. We are trying very hard to lower our calories and eat in a healthier way. I try some today.
