Virginia Beach

We are leaving for Virginia Beach in the morning. I was just wondering if anyone can tell us some good restaurants we can try and places to see while we are there. We are going to go to the aquarium while we are there and we are going to drive in to Colonial Williamsburg. We've never been to Virginia Beach before, but we was at Willamsburg several years ago.

I have lived in Va. Beach all my life. It's a very nice city, mostly suburban except for the new "town center", which is in downtown. Population is around 450,000. There are lots of restaurants, malls, theatres, and clubs/bars. Oceanfront is lined with hotels and the beach itself is very large. Real Estate can be a tad bit pricy in some areas. Va. Beach is a part of the hampton roads metropolitan area or the "seven cities" (as we call it here), an area with a total population of about 1.6 Million.
