Happy face Looking for Vermont mothers

Hello,

I am a mother of a beautiful 7 yr. old daughter in Winooski, VT. I was wondering if there are any mothers here who know of some good daycares and babysitters in Chittenden County. I would like to be able to go out on a friday night without bugging my mother to babysit all the time.

This looks like a nice site with lots of fun tips and good advice. Where can I find some great summer fun ideas for preschool kids?

Thanks for all your help!

You can try the YMCA in Burlington.

Scroll down to the bottom. They have "kids night out" programs that let you drop off your daughter for 2.5 hours - only $5.

HTH!

In my area the YWCA does the Red Cross Babysitting training then has a referral list of teenagers that have passed the course.

When I was a kid that is how I got a lot of new families to sit for.

You could also check to see if your area has a home daycare referral center (organized home daycare providers). You might be able to find someone that would do "drop in" evening work. In my area it is called Child Care Choices and they will give you the names of 5 ladies in your area that do home daycare for you to interview. If you don't like them call back and CCC will send out another list. CCC has on going training for the providers as well as having a story lady that goes into each providers home once a month and they also have suggested crafts, etc. for the providers to do.

Can You Guess?
