I personally have always though Netflix was a good deal - I'll have to reevaluate now?

WOW!!! I sure do miss being a manager at a theater. I just quit this job of 3 yrs about 2 months ago. Nothing but free movies all that time, can you imagine?
Now we haven't gone to see a movie since. I can't believe the prices. Or, maybe it's cuz we actually have to pay now. No way! Pay-per-view all the way!!! LOL

movies

I was at the movie theater today, I couldn't believe the prices at the snack counter. For a small pop and a small popcorn it comes to $5.75. I agree pay pre view

I have not heard anything but positive about netflix.

We rarely go to the movies except as a treat and that is usually once a year. We tell the children we don't buy all the drinks, popcorn etc. When we went this past month and we had my nieces too (did the matinee) but they wanted to use their own money to buy a coke, popcorn and candy. One decided not to when she realized the time it took to get it and the cost. The other did and I ended up paying some for her and my daughter.

We like going, when we can, to the $1.00 movie they have. Most think it is for the senior citizens but is for anyone. You get in the movie, get a small popcorn, drink for a $l.00. Most of the times a business is there giving away bagels, chicken salad etc too. Unfortunately it is at 1:00 and if the kids are in school I can't go due to pick-ups. We have gone in the summer when it is a movie they kids can see. They are usually all the old classics, such as Murder on the Nile.

I love the summer movie theater that the local theater puts on can't beat the price $5 pass for 10 movies or $1 per movie. It is normally Thursday 10:00 AM but the price of snacks is outragious and I bring our own. They have two newer kids movies then older ones though some are a little old for the crowd which is normally under 10.

We pick up a lot of kids movies from the church's lending library and from the local library though we don't get there much during the school year.

I had forgotten about the summer movies. I know two of the bigger cinemas show childern's movies for the price of a book report. The movies are not newly released ones and are shown at 10:00 am. Each child has to read a book and write a book report on it.

Our library does not have a lot of movies on VHS or DVD. They do have a lot of educational or tv show ones. They are getting more dvds in the past few months.

I know you all don't have a drive-in, but maybe your walk-in does the same thing. Our drive-in, which charges $8 a car, gives us a free movie pass if we turn in 5 receipts. So, we get 6 movie passes for the price of one.

Plus, I also like to tape movies that are on in the middle of the night or when I'm gone that are on my television. That way I can watch them with my family for free anytime.

I'm glad to know about Netficks.
