| Corned Beef Patties Have some corned Beef leftover? Here is a way to make a different meal from it. PASTRY: 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 6 tbsp shortening 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten 1/3 cup milk FILLING: 1/4 cup onion, chopped 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp flour 1 1/4 cup corned beef, cut into pieces 1 1/2 cups tomatoes black pepper Saute the onion in butter till soft. Blend in the flour. Add remaining ingredietns and bring to a boil, stirring constantly till thick and smooth. Let simmer 10 minutes. Spoon into the crust and fold over the corners. Bake at 450 degrees till crust is browned. These can be cooked just till done, and then warmed and browned later. 4-6 servings
