If you could change ONE thing about your kitchen, what would it be?
For me, it would be to add counter space. I don't want to keep any MORE stuff on the counters. I have my "bare essentials" there but they're pretty full just with that. I'd like a little more room on the counters, just as a workspace, and maybe a good workspace 3 feet square that is a little LOWER than the rest. I'm short, and I find that my counters are a little too high for me to work comfortably.
Wow, a kitchen wish list. Hmmmmm....
Space, and more space.
I have a very dinky kitchen.
I have no pantry either.
So space would be nice.
I love to make homemade noodles and cant do it properly with the counterspace I have.
So, I would say more storage and countertops.
I am in a wheelchair and I love to cook, and I would make my kitchen much more accessible. We bought this stove about 8 years ago and the knobs are along the back, which I can't reach and even if I could, it would be unsafe to reach over hot burners to turn them off; so I would like to trade it in on one that has the knobs in the front or on the side. A bottom-freezer fridge would be better, too. But these appliances are only 8 years old. I would like to be able to make a U-turn in the kitchen without knocking into the cabinets, and also be able to reach into the upper cabinets. It would be better also if the pantry door was hinged on the opposite side, so I could get into it without having to then roll through the hall, the foyer the living room, and the dining room to get back into the kitchen! I have lowered counter space I can work on, but that is about the only "pls." I'd love for hubby to contact While You Were Out and have them renovate my kitchen/family room that adjoins it, that would blow me away!
My cabinets yes yes yes. I hate them. I live in a trailer the cabinets are pressed wood. I want real wood!!!! Now I would also love a side by side frig with an ice and water dispencer. jenni

I'd love to change the flooring...it is vinyl and looks like field stone that has been used for a million years (really only 25)...I'd love ceramic tiles..
Kasparcat..I am not in a wheelchair but my place is wheel chair accessible..I bought it from a couple and the man was in one..All my counters and light switches are lower..the cabinet doors open so you can pull up close..the outside door sills have small ramps and the doors are wide enough to get through...My bathroom doors open out so they are easier to get into also...my kitchen isn't really big but it is "eat in" and I have enough room so that I have my desk set up in one corner and so should I ever become in need I will already have what I will need to get around. I was really fortunate to get it...

I would want a pantry... to store my can goods.
and yes margaret I have used my coat closet for a pantry once, but didn't like it, so I re arranged my coat closet to hold pot and pans, and can goods goes somewhere else, but still don't like it
so I would want a pantry.
my floor needs to be something else for my taste
a build in oven
and more room for the area my kitchen table sits...
I would love more pantry room. Our kitchen closet does not hold as much and then you can't always see what you have.
The cabinets are orange with oak doors, and avacodo stove and dishwasher (both of which are are on the replacement list). One day the cabinets will be redone and an island added.
