Cradle Cap

I am just wondering if any of you have any tips on cradle cap.
Has anyone used anything natural to help this. My 4 year old seems to have quite a bit on the very top of his scalp and seems to have quite a bit

Does anyone know what causes this please and if we need to cut anything out of his diet or life style?

Thank you

I know that if soap is not rinsed out properly you can get cradle cap......or build up on the scalp. I believe if you massage some oil into it it will help and loosen it up

My son was about 3 or 4 and he had cradel cap really bad. I took him to a barber. They gave him a crew cut and put baby oil on his head really good. He never had it again.

Thank you all
I think I will cut his hair quite short and use some baby oil on it, I tried the cradle cap shampoo and that didn't work.

do you wash the oil off after massaging it in please?

For cradle crap, you can try rubbing a small amount of warm olive oil mixed with a few drops of primrose oil onto your baby's scalp in order to loosen it up. Apply this mixture to your baby's head before bedtime. Let it soak into her skin before you wash it off in the morning with a mild baby shampoo.

I used to gently comb up the softened cradle crap so it didn't have a chance to harden and stick to the head again.

When my ds was about 4 he had cradle cap, I used a shampoo called T-Gel on him and it cleared it up. I use it on my own scalp since I am allergic to numerous shampoos.

Thank you very much all. I used the baby oil and it appears to have worked and it was so mild for him

Thank you
