Apple and Coconut Smoothie
(serves 2)
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of coconut milk
½ banana, chopped into cubes
¼ cup of apple juice
¼ teaspoon of fresh ginger root
2 small ice cubes or ½ cup crushed ice
Method
Add all ingredients to blender and process until smooth.
Banana and Strawberry Burst Smoothie
(serves 1)
Ingredients
1 large banana, chopped into 4
1 cup of low fat milk
200 grams of low-fat yogurt
5 strawberries cut into halves
Ice
Method
Place all ingredients into the blender, mix for approximately 30 seconds.
Kiwi Surprise Smoothie
(serves 2)
Ingredients
2 kiwi's peeled and sliced
2 apples cored, peeled and sliced
Juice of 1/2 a lime
1 medium sized cup of orange juice
Method
To make this quick free fruit smoothie recipe just place all ingredients into a blender and zap for a minute till smooth.
Pineapple Delight Smoothie
(serves 5-6)
Ingredients
1 whole fresh pineapple cut into pineapple rings
10-15 raspberries
20-30 fresh strawberries
2 cups of apple or orange juice
Method
To make this free pineapple smoothie recipe just add the pineapple rings to the blender first and blend for around 20 seconds. Next add the raspberries, strawberries and apple or orange juice to the pineapple and blend for a further 35 seconds.
Chocolate Banana Smoothie
(serves 2)
Ingredients
1 banana
1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
1 medium cup of milk
1 medium cup of crushed ice
Method
Chop the banana into four pieces then add to the blender. Then add the chocolate syrup, milk and crushed ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
