Miriam's Quesadillas

I thought maybe we could open a new thread for kids to submit their own recipes.

MIRIAM'S QUESADILLAS
ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED!

Ingredients:
Tortillas, flour or wheat
Chicken, cooked and shredded
Mild Salsa
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Oil for frying
Sour cream, chopped chives or any other toppings you might like.

Equipment:
Apron
Spatula/turner
Skillet
Stove
Plates
Sharp knife for cutting

What you do:
Put the apron on.
Place the skillet on the stove. Ask an adult to turn stove on to medium high heat. Put a small amount of oil in bottom of skillet.
Assemble your quesadillas.
Place a tortilla on a plate or piece of wax paper.
Place some cheese onto half of the tortilla, then add chicken and salsa. Fold tortilla in half and ask adult to place in to the skillet. Cook until golden brown, flip with the spatula and cook until golden. Remove from skillet to plate. Using the sharp knife cut into thirds.
Serve with addition salsa , sour cream or even chopped green onions.

Coll, This was a great idea! I took it a step further and set up a subforum for all of our FC kids' recipes!
