Question ISO lunches w/no luncheon meat!

Hi, due to the luncheon meat recall, I am searching for school lunches with no luncheon meat. My dd only eats sandwiches or wraps with, of course, luncheon meat. Any ideas? School starts Thursday!

What about tuna salad sandwiches or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?

If she likes wraps, how about cream cheese with tomatoes and lettuce rolled into pinwheels or chicken strips with shredded cheddar.

Chicken salad or turkey salad? Or leftover roast chicken or turkey? Leftover fried chicken? Cucumber sandwiches?

Check out Dovie's blog, she is making japanese type lunches for her kids.

How about hummus and veggies on a pita?

Scrambled egg wraps & egg salad wraps. Make "hot pockets" from left over meat-chicken, beef roast...etc in frozen bread dough or use canned pizza dough & fill with meat & cheese or sauce, cheese and pepperoni, then bake them.

Will she eat salads instead of sammies? How about fruit salads?

Salads are great...you could cube up some grilled chicken and put that in a green salad with some mandarin oranges, chow mein noodles and some Oriental dressing. YUM!

Other sandwich ideas:
Egg salad
Tuna salad
Chicken salad
Peanut butter on raisin bread
Cream cheese on a bagel

Non-sandwiches:
Soup in a thermos
Ramen noodles in a thermos

Bentos! That is what they are called. Google them and check them out. Would your kids like something like that?

I love hummus and your Karin's recipes sounds really good.

I also like Barbszy's idea of a bagel and cream cheese. I love those, too!

You can also do apple butter on raisin bread/toast. Grilled cheese with or w/o different veggies on it, too.

Don't forget about cold meatloaf! I love meatloaf sandwiches with mayonnaise

You can use leftover ham, chicken, turkey and steak for sandwiches too
