Kathy, that's great! I tried that with a PBJ sandwich last week and Big DS never knew the difference.

Today Luke has tuna pocket sandwich, a drink, grapes, cinnamon graham crackers, string cheese and pizza goldfish crackers.

When I was packing his lunch he was having a bowl of cereal for breakfast. I asked if he wanted pizza goldfish in his lunch, and he pointed to his cereal bowl I don't think so!!! I put them in his LUNCH!

DD is home sick from school (and she had ordered a hot lunch for today, so that is $3 down the drain ). Big DS has a 1/2 day since he is taking the PSAT test. He'll come home, do his track workout on his own, shower, eat and go back to school to help with stage crew for the fall play.

Todays lunches were turkey & swiss on a bulkie roll, smartfood popcorn, tropical fruit cups, yogurt, mozarella cheese sticks, grapes, and a special K chocolate drizzle bar.

Ds1 has extra peanut butter granola bars and peanut butter crackers as he has a track meet right after school

woe is us?

We haven't been doing well with packed breakfasts/lunches. I didn't even get bread at the grocery or make it. DD2 comes home from school and makes up an instant lasagna meal. Our nutrition the past two weeks has stunk! no fresh fruit, veggies, milk, greens barely.

I sure hope to do some food shopping after bill paying and get some food in the house for the week.

So what did I eat? One day it was 3 cracker packs and 2 nut bars and a candy bar (yech!) and another day it was eating out because my dd1 called me to talk about a friend of hers that needs counseling help for depression ($8) and another day I just starved and got a headache.

DH has been coming home at lunchtimes to let out the little dog, so he is eating dinner leftovers except the dog chewed up some inky things and twice this week he spent the lunch hour cleaning the carpet. I keep trying to tell him, crate the dog!, but he won't listen. And we have new furniture.

So we'll see if I can do better this week. Thanks for all the ideas, now that home baking is harder to do, ideas for prepackaged things that are healthy sure do help.

well, not creative but it was good: zuchhini and tomato in italian dressing from the garden, pbj with raspberry rhubarb from the garden, canned pears, iced tea and a piece of banana bread.
