There is a girl in ds2 class that has gone through her whole school life (you know how they interweave through the years) with lukemia, it has been Canteen week (cancer for teens) and they have bandana day to raise money and awareness.
This week the class made their own bandanas and she came in for half a day and they had an easter party with pizza. They all wore their bandanas and took a photo and had a great time with her.
I don't know how she will go at the end of the year for high school as she has missed to much of her education by being in hospital etc, but she loves the normalness of school and friends.
Suffice it to say they had a pizza lunch with some vege sticks to put in a healthy slant and they had fun.
No lunches for my dks today. They have the day off from school
