Hi DeBora...thanks for pecan link. I like reading things like that. I'll have to go back there and look at it a little closer. What do you do with all your pecans?

I always put pecans in my tuna salad. I also put them in anything that you use other nuts for like brownies, ice cream topping, pies, and so on. If you ever buy them at an orchard, you will never want to buy them at the store again. lol

Thanks Barbszy for making the February lunch link up! I dropped the ball on that one! I forgot that others (DeBora) pack almost every day!

DeBora, how do you grate the meat, what tool do you use? And I think nut meats in food is good too. I like cashews in chicken salad and almonds in about everything. Pecans in oatmeal are a favorite too.

We actually packed a lunch and snack for our shopping trip on Saturday to the next town over. We had gotten some fundraiser hoagies for the church youth group and boy am I glad I looked at the calendar and remembered so we picked them up before taking off. And I had packed a snack box of fruit, cheese, crackers, carrots so we had that on the way home. Did you know that by the bathrooms in a mall are VENDING MACHINES??? So we got our drinks there instead of the expensive kiosk on the mall floor and later also used the jug of water we keep in the car to fill our empty bottles.

Pecans in tuna salad sound good. I can't eat all kinds of nuts but I like pecans. Maybe one day I will find some really fresh ones.

Mmmm chicken salad or tuna salad with pecans sounds really good. I'm going to have to keep that in mind for this week. I sometimes include halved green grapes in mine for a cool note.

I think tomorrow I am going to have tuna salad on rolls, with the pecans. I will also have some pineapple chunks.

We should finish the pkgs of pudding and applesauce in a few days . I'm glad I want to get back to making the things I send.

Sorry, I missed this. It has been awhile since I made it, but when I made it before, I used my meat grinder. However, this time I will probably use my rounded knife or chef's knife to finely chop it.
