This week's recipe was submitted to us by 3 year old Abigail of Washington.
Abigail's Mom says, "Abigail loves making his bread and eating it with peanut butter, especially when it is still warm. She also likes to watch the bread being made through the little window in the bread machine."
Oatmeal Bread Tools needed:
Bread machine
1/2 and 1 cup measuring cups
teaspoon and tablespoon
mixing bowl
Ingredients:
1 cup water, boiling
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon dark molasses
1/2 cup oats, old-fashioned
1 large egg, lightly beaten
3 cups bread flour
2 teaspoons yeast
Instructions:
Put oats in a mixing bowl - pour boiling water over the oats. When oats have cooled but are still a bit warm, add remaining ingredients according to bread machine manufacturer's manual. Bake on light setting. Makes a 1 1/2-pound loaf.

Serves: 8
