Didn't have to pack today, kids are off school, end of the marking period. We got takeout Chinese and now they are sleeping with giant blankets and the dogs down by the coal stove.

Today's lunches were ham, cheese and lettuce sandwiches on whole grain bread, grapes, cheese sticks, yogurt, nutrigrain bars, fruit cups, pringles, and wild berry juice.
Packed just one lunch and then other dd decided to go to school earlier than the test (good for her to make her math class!) but too late, I had a PT appt to make, so she took the $5 to buy lunch instea of for fundraiser cooky payoff and I will write a check instead to the fundraiser.
Lunch was PBJ, giant Golden Delicious apple, black forest cake, and raspberry Crystal light packet with bottle of water.
I learned how to pack an iced cake. Slice it in half and put the icing on the inside like a sandwich, then wrap and freeze it.

Bilby, do you mean a red beet that is grated for beetroot?
Reddy purple the size of an onion? On the sandwich yesterday was sliced from a tin, it's what you put on burgers etc, I do buy fresh ones sometimes and grate them raw for sandwiches and salads.
I love cheese and beetroot sandwiches.
Today is boring stuff, various vegemite, peanut butter sangas going in lunch boxes, a chunk of fruit cake, a kiwi fruit (cut in half and with a spoon) and a cordial.
