You did fine, Ellen! I put a link to this thread from the September one.
My kids are falling into a routine for their bagged lunches. However, just when I think I get them figured out, and buy a big quantity of something, they suddenly stop liking it
Tomorrow DD is buying pizza at school. I will pack her fruit, carrots, and snack. She gets milk at school each day.
Big DS will have a turkey sandwich on "white wheat" bread with mayo and tomato. He likes to take grapes in his lunchbox, as well as pretzels, a granola bar and peanut butter crackers. Some of these items he saves to eat after his cross-country practice while he waits for me to come and get him.
I know what you mean. I bought 3 packages of Little Debbie pumpkin cookies because the school was selling them. I sure hope they didn't get tired of them last week!

I hate packing lunches but our school lunches seem so unhealthy that I pack lunches for my kids anyway. I pack the easy stuff the night before (pretzels, a fruit cup, a special K chocolate drizzle bar) and tomorrow I will add the rest. I try to get as much done the night before to help with the morning rush!
Today I packed yogurt, bologna sandwiches, cheese sticks, nutrigrain bars, an apple, a fruit cup, Cape Cod lite potato chips, and apple juice for a drink. (we ran out of their favorite special K chocolate drizzle bars) I need to remember to try packing something different once in awhile.
DD1 had too much to carry to bring a lunch box so she is going to buy and took just the snacks and drink with her.
Lunch for dd2 was a ham and swiss chef salad with ranch dressing, half a pbj sandwich, a plum, a fruit rollup, and a pumpkin cookie by Little Debbie, some apricots in a cup.

I definitely need to go grocery shopping! Todays lunches were pb&j sandwiches, a fruit cup, an apple, yogurt, a cheese stick, a strawberry nutrigrain bar, and apple juice. Even my dh got a pb&j sandwich.
