A little of both.... Many friends and Family write "do not open until" on the envelopes and it is sort of like a mental game for me to see how long I can leave the card(s) closed until my birthday (or DH's b-day /holiday). Otherwise I open them immediately, read them, and display them until my b-day day is over then I stack them in my scrapbook pile / drawers. :-)

I open them as I get them. A lot of mine arrive late, maybe because my BD is close to the beginning of the month of April and usually near Easter too. I pretty much just think of it as celebrating my BD all month and display the cards until May. (My dh's BD is only 11 days before mine and I'm usually tired of cake by the time it is my BD.)

This time, the theme is going to be autumn/Halloween so your stories need to use smilies to express as many words as possible and your story should be focused on anything that has to do with autumn or Halloween.
Members will be allowed to submit one story pertaining to a Halloween story and one story pertaining to an autumn story. Please click here to enter!
