Hi girls!
I am feeling quite well. I go to my Cardiologist on the 11th. I will then find out the severity of the damages, etc. I think if it were that abad, I wouldn't have been released so soon. I am taking several medications. Thank goodness for insurance. Thanks so much for thinking of me and your prayers.
Connie---I am so glad you like your job.

Happy Birthday Sueanne and Bar-Bar. I hope both of you are having a great day or guess I should say have had since it is now after 8 at nite.
Glad you came home to a nice dinner Connie/Bluebird. And of course happy that you like your job.
I am still in a glow over my phone call this morning

Thought for the Day
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream;
Not only plan, but also believe.
Lauri, I hope it was so mild that there is hardly any damage. I am glad you are feeling so much better.
Felicia, I don't know why I thought you said she was in labor. Maybe it was Coll that mentioned labor. With me, I could have made the whole thing up. lol
Theresa, I hope you have been able to get some sleep. We aren’t getting many raspberries either due to all the rain we have had. We have only picked a couple small bowls.
Sharon, sorry to hear your ds is still out of work. This is such a tough economy. My dd is having a hard time finding work too and has no savings.
Felicia, sounds like your niece was having Braxton-Hicks contractions. But if she has lost her mucus plug then labor should come soon. I think it is hard to tell if you are in true labor or not in your first pregnancy because no matter what the books tell you it feels like, everyone is different.
Coll, as DeBora said, time always drags when you want it to go quickly.
DeBora, I do hope you end up getting permanent custody of your dgks. They need the stability you can provide. You are doing such a wonderful job with them. Hopefully, though, your dd will eventually grow up and take some responsibility and become the mother she should be. I had heard too that sugarless gum is good to chew between meals as it does increase saliva which can help prevent tooth decay. I chew it often after a meal when I can’t brush my teeth.
Lauri, I am so glad to hear you are doing well. I hope you get a good report when you go back to the doctors and find that there was minimal heart damage. That must have been so scary to hear you had a heart attack. I hope you feel better and better every day! We are still getting nothing but rain here too. My flowers on my deck are drowning and my vegetable garden is not doing well at all. We were lucky to get some strawberries but our raspberries are being destroyed by the rain. Where is the sunshine????
DebK, we are getting nothing but rain and humidity here too. Yesterday it was 94 degrees with high humidity. I felt like I was melting.
Donna-Marie, so glad you are getting some nicer weather. Still raining here. Let’s hope we get better weather in August. It would be nice to have some true sunny summer weather.
Connie, so glad to hear your new job is going so well. And very cool about your dks making an Italian dinner. I think I would faint if my dks did that.
Patti, when does Steven get home from camp?
Another rainy day here. Last night it rained so hard I could hear the rain over the air conditioner as it was just pounding on the roof. I am hoping the weekend will be a bit nicer. Today I have a couple errands to run so dd is going to watch the dc kids for me. I have to get some papers notarized for a couple dc families so the state can help them pay for daycare. It shouldn’t take long and then it is off to the Post Office to mail them. Dd has her job interview today. Keep your fingers crossed for her because she desperately needs a job. She was trying to get her car out of the driveway yesterday and accidentally hit my dh’s truck. The truck is just fine but she did a number on her front fender and it is almost falling off. She has no money in her savings from paying off her last car repairs and no job right now so things are not good for her. I am hoping this interview goes well and she gets hired. It is only a part time position but that is better than no job at all. Well I am off to tackle the never ending laundry pile. Have a great morning everyone.

DeBora, I may have said she was, I don't recall. But my sis said she was but she wasn't. LOL. She went to the doctor, she did lose the mucus plug and is dialated to 2cm and the babys head is down. I think he's waiting to come out in august, there are no babies in my family born in august, not a one! And we have a very very very large family. I have 7 siblings!
I got a job interview at Dollar Tree. Wish me luck.
Felicia

It has rained several times in the past week, including this morning. DGD is going bowling today, so I used that as an analogy to thunder and lightening. As we hear the thunder, I tell her the angels just rolled a ball on the lane. As the lightening strikes, I tell her the angels hit some pins. We'll see if she agrees with the sound after she goes bowling. We are supposed to have more rain tonight or early in the morning. DH is coming down tomorrow. The kids are SO excited that he'll be picking them up from school tomorrow. At first, they wanted just him picking them up. Now, after they've thought about it and I realized I had a free afternoon, they changed their minds and want me coming with him. lol
I was supposed to have a meeting with a professor and he hasn't contacted me. I emailed him earlier and still no word. I think I am going to let him know that I'll be at the counseling center if he needs me later this afternoon after I finish with clients or tomorrow morning. It is difficult working around his schedule, but he lets me work at home when I need to because of my situation. So, I am not complaining.
