Laura, I am going to look for the hoe and the cultivator. I know we have both somewhere. I think that will be easier for me. I am just so used to kneeling to weed. The bending over isn't the best thing either. But I know I have to do something different. The time has arrived.
Sharon....I get more done using the hoe & rake and in less time. It might not be perfect but it works. I have a strong upper and don't get tired as fast in the heat. Going out early before it gets hot helps. We all learn how our bodies work and do what eliminates stress on our joints. Some days I wonder why I even bother making flower & garden beds but they give me joy looking at them.
Theresa...Happy Anniversary!

Thank you for the Anniversary Wishes...Felicia,Glen and I have been married 17 years today...Glen surprised me with a single pink rose...Here is a picture of the rose and a picture of our grandson Alex...he has grown up so much...
I hope you and Laurie both had wonderful birthdays...
I know I haven't posted on here at all this month...lots been going on...And I've missed everyone...sorry...
Glen started back to work on June 22nd and only works 5 days a week and 6 hours a day...Starting Monday he will move up to 7 hours a day 5 days a week...He continues with therapy twice a week...I think I am happier that he is back to work...I get some of that "me" time back...lol
We got to see our oldest grandson Alex on Tuesday...my son Jason brought him over and it was so nice to see them both...and then we had Alex over on Thursday for a couple of hours before Jason had to leave on Friday to take him back to his mothers...they live in Sudbury...
We re-did our kitchen...No more Blue Kitchen now...its in Sandy footprint on the walls and a rust color on the cupboards...took me a while to get used to the colors but I like it now...lol...it all matches with the new flooring...
There was a F2 tornado in Ear Falls...where we used to live...we got the hail and high winds here but one camp was hit by the tornado...2 were killed...1 is still missing and 5 were injured...its awful...
So other than all that I am constantly back and forth to the doctor's...sliced my thumb open trying to fix the end of a curtain rod...dumb on my part...You know I have the good days...the bad days and then I have the rotten days...just trying to get through every day...
Well that's all that has been going on around here...my life is boring...lol...
Take care and Hi to Everyone...
Smiles & Hugs...

Theresa Happy Belated Anniversary!!! Your kitchen sounds really nice. I hope your thumb heals quickly. My prayers go out to the tornado victims. I hope they find the people missing.
We have been very busy here sense the girls came back from Floriday. DD #1 left yesterday to go on vacation for a week to the Jersey shore with her boyfriend and his family.
DD #2 starts cross country camp tomorrow.
We are leaving on Friday for vacation. I spent most of the weekend getting the camper ready. Yesterday we hooked up the plumbing to see if everything works. We have a crack in the cold water line near the kitchen sink. We had water every where!!! I had already mopped the floor LOL!! So now dh has to figure out how to get the fittings off and fix it before we go or we can't have water in the camper.
Last night my sister and her 2 daughters came up and we had a campfire out back. We had a great time until the rain came. We all got to roast marshmallows and go swimming before the storm came.
Well today is my cleaning day in the house. Time to get started.
Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Happy Birthday Felicia and Lori!
Happy Anniversay Theresa!!
We have been busy. Friday we were in the city all day, gone for 14 hours. Doctors appts went okay. Doc did put Gregg on high blood pressue meds. Hopefully with some changes in his lifestyle and thinking he can get off of them. it is a tiny dose. We had so much fun in the city! It was hard for Jasmine since she had a check up with treatment and speech. She was tired. We went out for a nice dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. I was not impressed with the service but they were busy. Staples service wasn't the best either. Guess God was telling me not to buy a new printer! lol
Last night the man the kids mow the farm for called. He is here for wheat harvest and wanted to met us. We went out and sat in lawn chairs by thier camper and chatted for hours. It was wonderful!!!! To see others injoy my kids and interact with them, pure joy.
My garden is doing wonderful. I use a push hoe a lot. LOVE it. Save my back a lot. We had a lot of rain Friday night so the weeds will be back up.
My dad and his gf stopped by yesterday. I thought about it and when they left, I told dad I loved him very much, am very happy that his has found a new life, live this new life with gf to the fullest but please do not come back to our home again. This was said without hurt or anger on my part. I am not angry with him. I choose not to have in in our life anymore. I did tell him that he coming here was hurting the kids, it is. It was time for us to go our seperate ways. It was stressful but this is the best thing I have done for myself and my family. If he would show up, the door will not be answered nor will he and gf be welcomed into the house. I feel like a boulder is lifted off my shoulders.
Oh Gizmo wanted to play so I got one of her toys. I swear her little face lighted up like a kids!
Very sadly a family here lost thier house to a fire yesterday. We think it started in the walls. I know the fire department was there at 10 last night. I doubt this family will have any support or help from the community either. The air still smells like smoke. It is so sad.

Theresa, that is a beautiful rose. Happy Anniversary. Alex is a very nice looking young man. Great pic.
Nice to see you posting again.
Sueanne, I will be using the hoe and cultivator and garden rake.
Charlotte, sounds like you had a fun evening.
Connie, glad you had an enjoyable day.
So sorry to hear about the house fire. How terrible and sad.
Buck is fishing today. I watered tomato plants and rasberries this morning. I have two little statues painted. A momma frog and her baby and a momma turtle with 2 babies.
Beautiful out today. Warm but not hot and a very nice breeze. We do need rain as it is very dry.
Theresa what a good looking boy your grandson is! Glad you were able to visit with him. Post pics of the new kitchen soon. And hope your thumb heals quickly and painlessly. Gosh what a place to slice open!
Felicia
