I may have in my younger days but I would not want noone doing it to me, but I know they have. It was told on me the pastors wife that I was seen coming out of the liquor store about 4 months ago and I know that it was a ball face lie. I just prayed about it and turned them over to God.

I've never started a rumor and try not to repeat them but if I do have something to say about it I do. Especially if I think it is a lie I wikll say so.
As for someone saying something about me? Who cares. I know what is true and what isn't.
And if what I read up in Tami's post is asking to share a deep dark secret, maybe someday I will share mine. LOL.

My husband is a teacher and he and his fellow teachers were amazed at all the stories that would float around from school to school in the town. He and a couple of friends started a rumour that one of the female teachers (she was in on the joke, and is well past the baby-stage of her life) on staff was pregnant, just to see how long it took for the rumour to come back. It took about a week.

It's amazing to me how some people will say anything to keep the rumors flowing.
If they would've stopped to think about that teacher, common sense would've told them that it wasnt probable. People seem to lose their minds when faced with juicy stories about other people.
I'm trying to teach my son to stop and think about what he is saying about someone before he actually says it. I tell him to think of how he would feel if someone else was saying that about him. This has made him stop a lot of the story telling before it has gotten out control. Other kids in his school are already out of control with their stories!!
