Well we finally got our rain here. It is pouring today. My boys still had cross country running practice in the rain though. They will be cold and soaked when they get home. Going to send them a few minutes late so they can have warm showers and have some cocoa before school starts. The school was suppossed to go on a field trip today to the pumpkin patch but won't with all the rain. Glad we took our kids a week ago. Not much else is new here.
Patti boy sounds like you are redoing the whole house.....sure you don't want to come do mine??? Do you have any special plans for your birthday , it will be here soon!!!
Lita don't you just love when kids imitate things. With the daycare I get to watch many funny senarios being acted out. I always have a good chuckle.
Leighann obviously that was a sign for you, I am sure that somebody else will come along and that it will be better for your family. I know that always happens here. Things always seem to work out in the end.
Donna Marie I hope that you and John have a wonderful weekend away. Sounds like you could use it and it will be a nice change. Enjoy your visit.
DeBora I know that you are used to higher marks but 74 is still a very good mark and you should be proud of it. Like you mentioned this was going to be a very tough test and you had so much going on outside of school work. I am so glad to hear that JetBo is doing better. I know that is a big weight lifted off your shoulders right now..
Hope everyone else is doing well
Hugs Debbie

Amen Teresa..this has always been one of my favorite threads..
Well went to my eye Dr appt. today and got really good news...The test he took originally showed that I had the beginning of glaucoma but the ones that the specialist took after that all came back perfect (my Op's word)..he showed me the result..used a lot of words (some familiar some not) to describe what the tests checked and found but all I heard was they were all perfect..He was as happy as I was..since the initial test was different from the one the yr before he had been concerned...but ...no glaucoma so far..we will check again in the summer...ordered my new glasses using the frames I had before the ones I am now wearing and they were still almost 300...pangs of bifocals, astigmatisms, cataracts etc....and I had $20 copays each of the four times I went in....oh well...the Lord is still GOOD...no glaucoma..TUJ...
need to go get some dinner (grew up saying supper but found that that is no longer "in"....

Donna Marie, have a wonderful time in Pittsfield. My mil's family farm is in Pittsfield; her sister and bil still live there. I hope that you and John have a nice, relaxing time. You both deserve it.
Margaret, I am glad that your eye exams turned out so well. I know that it is a burden off of your back. And I love the alligator!
Deb, I hope that you fair better than people in the northeast US did. How long have the boys been running cross country? Reading throught the posts from the end of the September thread made me very hungry. Did you have a good Thanksgiving?
Lita, I am glad that your husband was able to race this time. What a terrific adventure.
DeBora, I am glad your pup is doing better. I know how hard it is to go through illness with a beloved pet. Congrats on making it through the exam.
Lee, Although it would have been nice to have another child under your care, I am glad that you don't have to struggle over putting your ds in full time.
Page, LOL about the papering. We have several projects ongoing at any point in time. Right now, the master bath, the laundry room, the front rooms.
Sandie, if I can get the pictures to post, I have some black bear pictures for you.
Well, dh is doing well after shoulder surgery. He sees the surgeon for a follow up on Monday.
Jennifer is loving swim team. A dietician came in and met with both swimmers and parents Saturday. She had the kids keep a 3 day diary of what they ate and when. Jennifer is taking in anywhere from 3000 to 5000 calories a day, and has lost about 10 pounds. She is 5'6" and weighs about 105. She is burning off so many calories I cannot feed her enough. (Oh, how I wish I had that problem!) The dietician would like to see her up to 130/135 pounds. So, we are trying to add even more calories. This dietician was very good for both groups. The organization wants to make sure the kids are eating right (and enough) and drinking enough. They also want to help the swimmers optimize their eating before, during, and after races.
Jamie is doing much better. I think that my child is back! He is still running a low grade fever but...
For the life of me, I cannot remember who was talking about kids imitating adults. (And I am too tired to go back and look.) Jamie has an imaginary friend, and a group of imaginary super heroes, and two stuffed animals. The scenes that take place are priceless.
I am being kicked off to bed. I hope that everyone has a good evening.
Goodnight!
Debbie

DebK, the kids enjoy making Canda flags, notecards, coloring beavers, and a the Canda map.. I even got some good comments from parents and it was like they were all learning that you guys didn't have Thanksgiving at the same time as we did.
I also showed the kids the pc's I had, and gave them some stickers that you send to me at one time... they loved that.
Wed. was a great day
tomorrow we are planning on doing sun pictures, and rubbings on trees and things.
along being a fun day to play outside more... With this pretty weather the kids are enjoying being outside more...
