Thoughts & prayers for your dad, Barb, your dh, tuttlebear35, and of course, my "bro", Dexter.
I'd also like to show concern for Blondie's new little 'fur-ball', Kali, who has been doing alot of sneezing & coughing, since being brought home from the Florida Humane Society. Guess it is called, "Kennel~Cough". Let's all say a tiny prayer, for her, to recover and be well.

My tuesday weigh~in, -----85 lbs. Yeah!!!!!!

A "tiny" prayer??? I didn't know there was such a thing! Poor kitty. I know Blondie is taking good care of her.

Congratulations on the weight gain!!

Thanks Cindy. I'm still on a coney dog kick, and I guess it is helping with my weight.

Kali had the kennel-cough when Mom adopted her...I just am praying that Kali will recover from it soon. Mom luvs her little 'fur-balls'.

I'm thinking about you and your trip...have a good and safe one. You will be missed.

My dgd has filled out volunteer papers, with our local MI Humane Society. We will be taking the papers into their office, this morning, then another trip over to the library. I'm still trying to think of other activities that Jacki may like to get involved with, while she is here with me. You know teens.... must keep their hours filled!

I'm like so many others, I have never been so happy about weight gain except for my dh.... when John was so skinny, thank goodness the steriods helped him gain the weight, now he seems to be loosing some now... which I'm not sure if that good or not... especially if he gonig to have surgery in July.

It's in GOD"S hands.

I will be thinking of Blondie's fur balls, which the pictures they are so cute... kittens are so precious... little fur balls they are.

Carol Ann I like how you broke up your post, with the cute flowers. how clever.

Abear... haven't you left yet for the trip? or did I look at that post wrong...??? any ways check in and tell about yor trip once you get back home

Abear I agree with your above statement.. NO prayer is little to GOD... and GOD cares for us but HE also cares for HIS critters too, for HE made it all.

Hi there tutterbear!!
I just wanted to ditto what everyone else here has said!! Everyone here on this forum is so loving and welcoming and we are all here with open arms!! We will support you and listen as we get to know you through the friendships we make here!!
Welcome to the Family Corner!!! I love your user name!!! Very Cute!!! How did you choose it? Mine is the trainlady because of my love of riding Amtrak trains!!!!
"Come on over" and talk anytime you want; there is someone on these boards all day long!!!

Carol Ann, OK, I know you are going to laugh at me but I have never had a coney dog???!!! I'm going to guess it is a hot dog with chili, but I'm not sure !! If that is what it is, that sounds real good and I will be over for lunch in about 30 minutes!!! LOL!!!
(I'll bring a couple rootbeer floats!!!)

Blondie...we have little "fur balls" under our house!!! A cat had her 2 kittens there a couple weeks ago and it looks like they have adopted our backyard to stay!! Could it be because I have been putting out Friskies and milk for them!! LOL!!!!
They are cute as can be; Mommy cat, Callie and Butterball!!!

Debbie, I hope you had a wonderful birthday last week!! How did you celebrate?!!!

hugs,train

Yep!! That's just one type of coney dog. The main ingredient being the dog plus chili. I also add mustard, onion, and cheese. Yummy!!!!! and rootbeer floats are another fav of mine. Let's do lunch!!

I love adding those little items onto my posts. Wish I had a computer, so I could do more!

I think Cindy went on her trip, right after she had done some posts, this morning.

I know that there aren't too many of us that need to gain weight, but it is just as hard to gain, as it is to loose. I seem t be eating 24 hours / seven days a week.

Trainlady, YOU never had coney dog???
didn't you ever go to the fair, or event that they sold Corney Dogs? The train trips didn't have Corney DOGS? sport events???
wow, I am .. Figure everyone had or knew what a Corney Dog is...
Please try one ..... one day.... they are good.
Corney dogs are those little things on a stick...

I remember my sister when I was a little girl, would make homemade corney dogs without the stick... I hated the weiner but loved the bread that went around it. so she one night fixed me a entire pan of bread mix and baked it for me without NO Weiners. Mom didn't care for that at all.

But the strangest thing that bread didn't have that same taste as it did with the weiner, and I didn't like it and never wanted just the bread part without the weiner any more.

rootbeer floats! did I hear someone is having RBeer floats... oh where, when ???? Can I come too, pretty please... let me come too... I get on hands and knees to come too. pretty pleaes...
Have you figure out I LOVE root beer FLOATS.

Carol Ann.... I forgot my ex husband tried and tried to gain weight too, and so did my son...
but ex never did really gain it, and son, well he finally realizse he was going to be like his dad, and both of them wanted to gain more... nothing serious like yours, but John was very much in need to gain... as he had gone down to where the wind could blow him away... but praise GOD he gain back to his almost reg. size when he was much yonger, and the doctors knew he had to gain to make it thought anything back a few years ago...
so I do understand it hard to gain, if not harder to gain than to lose... not sure... but I do know it hard to gain.... this is why I am cheering you on sweetie.

Prayers being said for all who have requested them.

Carol, yeah on gaining the weight. I have a friend who was always trying to gain weight. I know it is not nice to envy someone but I did for the weight issue.

Robin, I didn't mean to sound like I was puttng you down for the issue...just had to make a statement to the fact, that it is just as dificult to gain, as to loose weight. Peace? I'm so sorry, if I came across that way to you, or anyone else.
