DeBora---I plan on being there. Actually, I want to cut the cord. Don't know if the hospital will allow that. The baby's father will be there also. He's way to queezy for it. (They are on again off again, but he is very involved and will support the baby).

Thanks!

Hugs to you.

Lauri, you will love watching the birth of your GK. My first GK's due date was August 24th, but she was born the 18th. Yours will be close. We want details when he/she is born too.

Lauri, congrats on your soon to be grandchild.

I have to agree with most everyone. I love both my kids and could have had more if we were able but I take what I was blessed with. As I had mine later in life we don't have to worry about another one now. I love babies but will agree that now that they are older I am glad we only had two (but will have loved any others too). I only hope that I will be around to love and spoil my grandchildren being that I definitely don't want any for at least another 10 years.

My husband had a vasectomy when he was 31. We already had a ds and dd, and we were at the point where we were either going to try for a third child or decide that our family was complete. We were very happy with our family and the way our lives were going, so we decided on the vasectomy-- primarily because sterilization is a much simplier and less risky proceedure for a man than for a woman. The funny part was when most of our male friends and neighbors started phoning my husband to ask about the proceedure, because their wives were after them to get a vasectomy, too, but they were too nervous about the myth of losing any "manhood"!! Our ds and dd are both in college now, and we have never regretted our decision.

I made one big decision last year and that was to divorce my husband after 24 years of marriage...we are still divorcing since last march. if anyone was ever going to leave he felt it would and should be him.in fact he threatened he was going when the kids were grown up so i'd better get prepared.my thought why wait....so i did it ...now i am looking at another big decision i was raised in livingston county,ny now we live in monroe .when my daughter is off to college i don't see there is a lot here for me.my family is still in livingston, steuben county area and i think i want to move back into the area so i can spend more time with them. Does anyone know ( I can't remember) Geneseo? I have searched for pics , and ideas for apartments but haven't come up with much. short of driving out I haven't seen much via the computer route. If you have been or live in the geneseo,ny area could you please let me know your thoughts on it, if you enjoy living there . moving just because you were there as a kid and liked it doesnt really help with a major decision to move there. I'm trying to convince my daughter it would be cool to go to college there as well.I'm tired of the busy ,rat race and as i get older i'd like to be able to think and reflect..to enjoy where i'm living not be consumed by it. thanks
