feel free to go over to the craft section, you and Craftyldy will have lots in common, for you both love to c raft, I like to do some crafts, for Christmas I made gift baskets with gifts in jars to give out yesterday as this was our big family get together. (oops I said yesterday then looked down and realizes it Tue morning so I should now say Sunday)
KaraWhite I think you may have found the right place now, for I know Ive been to a few places myself and this one has won my heart, so welcome to Family COrner the home of all homes on the net.
I will second the statement that abear just made
others are writing, crafts, games,Share your Computer Tips/Tricks , Joy and Concern, it you need help in finding those let me know
and there is so much more feel welcome to explore and check it all out, and again Welcome to Family corner
First of all thank you all for such warm welcomes. Kara, I think we have BOTH found the right place! bar_bar, Yakima is about 60 miles SW of Moses Lake. And yes, both have grown tremendously! Moses Lake is now up to 14,950 for their population. Yakima is 294,500! But I love it here and Moses Lake has grown a bit nicer over the last few years. Can someone tell me how I complete information on the postcard exchange? Sorry, just a little dense until I get more familiar around this entire site. You all have such a great thing going here. I am looking forward to getting better acquainted. Kara, again....look no further! I think we are in the right place!

you find the person or people you want to trade with pm them and let them know yo want to trade, if you want to trade post cards I will let you know would love to trade with you.
if you have any more ? just ask, we are all here to help one another.
when we lived in Moses Lake we lived on the base, which I do not know if they even have that any more.
My ex hubby (hubby at the time) brother and family lived there, he was a school teacher, worked at Safeway, and was in a band on the weekend as a drummer.
Last summer was the first x I saw him in about 14 yrs. so it was nice seeing him again.
the winter there is dry cold, no wet junk like we get here in Texas
and I remember making snow ice cream... mmmmmm
time moves on and things grows up even towns, states, and our lives.
actually bar_bar.......it isn't so dry at the moment. We are under serious storm warnings at this time. We received about 8 inches over night and we are forecast for 8-12 inches more tonight. But yes, I do know what you mean about dry and cold. This storm is major for us yet I keep forgetting other places are worse off than we are they keep on with life....we're stopped!! anyway, thank you for the directions to the postcard exchange. I would love to trade with ANYONE! The training base is still there in Moses Lake, but not quite as active as it probably was when you lived there. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it. I enjoy this site so much and look forward to figuring some of this out. Thanks again.

you are welcome, any time you got ? just ask we are all here to help one another, and have found out this group is more helpful than any I have found, only once since I've been on FC have I seen any disagreement the group seem to stuck together and when this one person couldn't create a nasty situation she left FC it seems like, this group that I have met on FC is more like family than any other group I seen.
and most of the time when you get a lot of woman in 1 group there is some kind of disagreement, but not here on FC
I am so thankful that I have found this group and feel very blessed.
we are here to uplift and to help one another, a dream land of getting around from the real world for a spell. I just love coming here and chating with family as I do feel most are family instead of freinds.
well with being in TX the weather is totally different than from Washington, like today it in the 40's yesterday it was 19 with a chill factor of 16 yet I know the wind was blowing and it was coldddd, way to cold for us. I wanted to stay in and thank goodness I could for I was watching my grandbabies.
well I do hope you survive the storm that coming, and it ok if you don't send it our way
I do remember the snow up there, and I thank you for reminding me of that snow.
GOD BLESS
and again welcome to FC
hope to see you on some other post
if you pm me and give me your address I will send a pcard to you for us to swap.

Hi Imagirl!!
A big welcome to you to the Family Corner!! You will love it here and enjoy all the cyber conversations going on!! I just love it and look forward to my daily chats!!
I grew up in your neck of the woods in Tacoma!! I have, since, lived in 7 other stares due to my husbands job transfers. Washington though, remains my favorite off all the place I have lived!!
I am a very happily married "family of 2!"
I like cooking, writing, reading, camping, and, as my name implies, amtrakking!!
So, welcome aboard!!
You are the 4th person I have "met" since being online. I appreciate your warm welcome.
Funny you should say Tacoma, was just listening to the news about their weather. Seems a bit unusual over there. Snow and all. But hey, we have to have variety, right?
Yakima is a good place, however, we are seeing the 'shifting sands' of economic problems but what place isn't? Right!?
I am finding so many neat things on this site....could spend the entire day browsing and still not see it all!
What is your speciality? By your icon....cooking? by chance?
I am married to a wonderful guy, Tom, he is a self employed auto mechanic. We have two 'kids' - a dog, Riley and a cat, Patches!
God blessed us with those kind of kids and we don't ask why, we have just learned to live with it. I work part-time for a Christian Radio station as their clerical person and Public Relations. That gives me the flexibility I need to do what needs done around the house. We love out doors like hiking, biking, snowmobiling, camping, 4-wheelin with our pastor and his wife....we have great places to go for those kinds of things.
Do you ever make it out this way? If you haven't been around these parts, you might be surprized at all the changes that have taken place. Buildings where none used to be and PEOPLE way more PEOPLE I think!!!
Well, sorry to have rambled on so.. Thank you, once again, for that wonderfully warm welcome!!
Will chat again soon.
Lynette
PS any places that are your favorite that I should check out?

Little skeptical about joining a site like this, because I am normally found on programming boards. Just trying to see if anyone has the same issues I have had with my boys, and any nice hints and tips really....
Intro:
I come from the UK (Guildford), am married (Ingrid) to a lovely lady, we have 3 boys; Xander (6), Riven (3) and Tai (1). I can't say that it's been bliss all the time, but I definitely wouldn't change it for the world
