Wow! You babysit three great-grandchildren? That is great! My Mom couldn't handle babysitting three of her grandchildren! It is wonderful that you do that. Those children will have fond memories of their childhood with nanajoan!

Friendship Flower Thread This is the only thread here at Family Corner that doesn't have a designated topic. We can discuss anything...within reason. We start out with an empty flower pot and after about 25-28 days of posting, we grow a beautiful flowering plant of some sort.....we've never had a duplicate and we've never had any "complaints" over the end result. Feel free to pop in and chat!
What Did You Do Frugal Today? While I don't actively participate in this thread, I do "lurk" there often. It's amazing some of the frugal ideas those ladies have and the deals they get!
When seeing your user name, it reminded me of my grandmother. We were taught to call her "Nana". She has passed, but has left me with the warmest thoughts of her. She never was too busy, to be with us. A very gentle and caring soul. I miss her.
Me? I am on permanent disability, live in an apartment, with my Betta, "Nemo", and my "girls".......my "girls" are two, female, calico cats. "Precious" & "Trouble" --- I love them to bits.
and as Blondie (Mom) states....."They can do NO WRONG! LOL But, I know better.....
I've raised three children, on my own, since 1971...two daughters and one son. I have seven granchildren. All of them live outside of Michigan. Michigan is where I live. I very rarely get to see the "kids", and miss that part of life. I love being their "Gram".
This month, I have the honor of being the "Friendship Flower"---"Queenie". Why don't you stop in and join the chat???

i think i may be getting a clue to this. i have checked out most of the stuff here. i am a mom of 2 great kids with a great husband who is a paramedic by day and a bag piper in a celtic band on the side. i love the pipe and drum music and so do the kids. his band got cancelled last night due to pending thunderstorms. i work part time as a dialysis nurse and have my own gourmet food business.
i just wanted to tell a little about me. hope to talk to some great people.
This time, the theme is going to be autumn/Halloween so your stories need to use smilies to express as many words as possible and your story should be focused on anything that has to do with autumn or Halloween.
