Hello - new here

Hi there, my name is Kitty, Im 40, and live in south central North dakota with my husband and 2 sons. We raise cattle. I also have a son in the army. We previously lived in The rocky mountians of Montana. I work parttime outside the ranch, and am trying to live cheaper, and be more frugal with our spending/lifestyle. My interests include antiques, gardening( havent put one in yet tho!) rodeos, and my family. Wanted to say hello to everyone!

Pinkie Winky I LOVE THIS SITE!

Hello everyone from beautiful North Georgia!!! First off, let me assure you that I am NOT a Pokemon fan... my youngest son is. My dh started calling me jigglypuff as a joke and it kind of stuck - don't worry though, my singing definately will NOT put you to sleep .

I have been home for several months now recovering from surgery, but am getting ready to return to work (part-time) at a new job. I have 3 great kids - Robert (14), Grant (5) and Laura (2). We also have a boston terrier named Bailey, a doberman named Hunny and a cat named Mojo. Busy household !

My husband and I have been married for only four years - he is a wonderful stepfather to my two boys - and is a great husband as well. We met in 1997 on the internet, chatting and talking on the telephone for several months... when we finally met in person it was love at first sight !!! He took me on a trip to the beach for my birthday in 1998 and proposed on the beach at sunset... it was so romantic - a couple in the room next to ours saw him go down on his knee and grabbed their camera, so as a result I have photographs of our actual engagement. (We sent them an invitation to the wedding too!)

I wish I had found this site sooner - I what I've found so far. I will definately be back!

Cassie

Hi Jigglypuff377!

Glad to hear that you are recovering! What a way to get a few months off from work! I've been home almost 10 months after being laid off. Because of a severance package, I've been able to stay home through the summer and will be getting back to work soon, myself. Ho Hum! We have a 5 yo little girlie girl and she's loved having me home. But, she's going into full-day kindergarten this year and there's no reason I shouldn't at least work part-time. Before being laid off, I'd worked full time since I was 17, so it was a huge adjustment for me to be at home. But, I got to participate alot in dd's Pre-Kindergarten class and we've had a fun summer.

This is a great website. I spend alot of time in the "What's for dinner" section and am trying to explore here a little every day. I've become quite addicted and sometimes have to just get up and walk away!

Hope you enjoy it!

Lisa

Hello all! My name is Terri and I live in central NY state. I have been married to Art for almost 23 years now. I have three sons, ages 22, 18 and 14. I also have a flat coat retriever. She's my baby!

I love to craft, especially painting ceramics and cross stitching. I also love to decorate. Although that hobby is a bit more expensive! My 18 year old son recently moved out and I just finished converting his room into my very own craft room! That was fun. My other hobbies are cooking, reading and watching HGTV.

My oldest son is getting married next May to a wonderful girl, we get along very well. It's a lot different planning a wedding now as opposed to when I got married, but it's fun just the same.

Hope to get to know you all.

Terri

Flat coat retriever

Hi there! A flat coat retriever is black with a white spot on her chest. She has glossy, smooth fir, and looks just like a golden retriever, except she's black. She's shedding really bad now. She also itches quite a bit. I asked the vet and he said that in the summer, dogs itch more. She doesn't have fleas, she just likes to scratch. The good thing about her coat, is that it's glossy so the hair comes off everything really easy. Flat coat retrievers also come in liver color. Unless they are black or liver in color, they aren't considered as adequate by the AKC. Even if she were pink polka dot...I'd still love her.

Thanks for the welcome.

Terri

LovesToCraft--

A big welcome to you! You are going to meet lots of friendly, and helpful people here who have a lot to contribute on all forums. You will be an addict in no time, as most of us are.

I see you like to paint ceramics. What all do you paint? I paint plaster, and ceramic houses mostly, and love it. Would love to read more about what you do, and how.

Again, welcome to the boards.

My apologies! I should have sent a welcome to all new members. As I told LovesToCraft, you will love this site from beginning to end, and will be an addict before you know it.

While I'm here I would like to wish all who have birthdays a very happy birthday, too.
