Welcome DeborahDee

Nice to meet you. I am from Indiana. On Feb 4th my hubby and my daughter are flying down to New Zealand to attend the wedding of a daughter of a pen pal I've had for over 40 years. Their son has been here twice to visit with us but this is the first time any of us have been over there. Because of health problems, I can't go, but I'm so happy my hubby and daughter can. The lady I write to was born in Australia and moved to New Zealand when she got married. So I wanted to pop in here and welcome you.

Hi everyone,
I'm Kay from Silverton, TX. I really love this board, it's set up so nice.
I'm currently employed full-time at a prison about a 45 mile drive from here, so am trying to get involved with some home businesses to change that eventually.
I have 3 grown children, and 4 grandchildren, with one on the way. I look forward to getting to know everyone, I love to see ideas exchanged and the encouragement that comes from these message boards.

blushing just introducing myself

Hello, my name is Anna. I am a 21 year old wife to the love of my life, Donald, and the SAHM of a beautiful 10 month old baby girl named, Skylar. Hence my user name Skylar keeps me on my toes, but in my free time I like to visit parenting sites, and work on my own. I hope to be around here as much as possible, and look forward to making new friends. ;-)

Welcome Kay, so glad you like the boards! Working at a prison must be a very challenging job, I applaud you!

Thanks Amanda,
It is challenging, but the department I'm in is so stressful right now all I can think about is making it with my own business! Between the stress and the drive, I'm more determined than ever to get out from under working for someone else. (I've put over 15,000 miles on the first brand new car I've owned in about 25 years in under 6 months) I guess that's one good thing the job's done for me, is strengthen my resolve!!
I guess the other thing about me is I've done enough stuff on my own (whether it was successful or not) that I don't make a very good EMPLOYEE. LOL I was in food service for years, either waiting tables or managing restaurants, and I had my own restaurant here for 15 months. I also was a realtor for a year or so, so I have to admit it's kind of hard when your supervisors you work under are 10-15 years younger than you and act you don't have a brain in your head!! (Sorry, probably sounds like sour grapes)
Oh well, like I said, it's certainly strengthened my resolve, and that has to be a good thing. Sorry this was so long, and thanks again for the boards!!

HELLO EVERYONE! Incase you missed my intro, I am Anna, a sahm and housewife. My little girls Skylar is 10 months old now! I can't believe she will be a year old in 2 short months!!! Time flies by so fast! She keeps me on my toes, and is learning how to walk now, so I spend a lot of time with her. In my free time (her nap time and playpen and movie time) I like to surf around at parenting sites (that's how I found this one) and I also host my own parenting site (don't worry I am not going to advertise! ), I just started that on December 14th this past year, so it is all kinda new to me, so that keeps me really busy. Anyways, y'all seem like a great bunch of parents and I can't wait to get to know all of you!

Hello. This is my first time on these boards though I have been reading the newsletter for a while. I am in my mid-twenties, married with no children. Both my husband and I work outside of the home (actually a condo but are looking for houses right now). I am most interested in the frugal boards, though I am also always looking for recipes and ideas for kids (one of these days I will need them!) All of the board topics look to be interesting so I will peruse them all as much as possible. I also am interested in cleaning tips (one of my most dreaded things after working all day), scrapbooking ideas, and budgeting. I am very into organizing so I would love to help others with that. I will try to check back as much as possible!
