Nice to meet you all.

Dreamweaver, we were in bed asleep when the fire started. The dog woke us. (I wrote that, but I know my post was long and rambling, so you probably just skimmed it! LOL)

Bilby, "Section 8" is an old military reference to a dismissal from service on the grounds of mental defect (remember the show "M*A*S*H", and Corporal Klinger dressing like a woman in order to receive a Section 8?) I have absolutely no connection with the military, but quite often I wish I could be issued a Section 8 to get me out of real life! And I like the sound of it, nickname-wise.

blushing I'm sorry section8

I went back and read your post again, I didn't mean to minimize anything that happened. I just meant that you are so lucky to be alive. My prayers are with you.

Oh, don't worry about it at all. I knew what you meant. I know my first post was pretty long, and I tend to skim the longer ones myself, so I wouldn't blame you for doing so!

Welcome to this wonderful Family Corner, where you will find so many interesting people, and things to get into.

So sorry to read about your unfortunate fire. Those of you who got out must have had someone watching over you. I feel sorry for the poor animals that did not make it, though. It hurts to think of what they must have gone through.

Welcome

Section8-

Welcome to the family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, especially your babies (cats). I know that had to have broke your heart, I know it would mine. I have 3 dogs, no children and my dogs and husband are my life. I lost a dog several years ago, my first, to a freak accident, her stomach flipped over inside and I have never grieved for anyone the way I did that dog, I still miss her and that was over 4 years ago. Our pets are so special, a special gift from God I think. I am glad you have joined us and hope you will stay awhile.

Anna
