How do you get the smilies to work in your message??

I can get the message icon to work but when I try to put a smilie in the middle of my message it looks like this

why can I not get the cute little pictures like you all do????

never mind when I typing it looks one way but when it posts it shows the picture boy is my face red

Hi there - and hey dsh1225 - thanks for the welcome.
I had to have a laugh over the seasons query - yeah we have 4 seasons, its just we are in Spring now and we are frequently getting all 4 seasons in one day at the moment. I'm often standing at the window watching my washing and just daring it to rain! Right this minute the sun is shining on one side of me and the clouds look very dark and forbidding on the other side of the house - its gonna snow says the weatherman.

I can't figure out the US mail system - it takes forever for cards to get here from my sister in Arkansas, but if I post her one she gets it like in a few days. We have our mailmen/women on pushbikes here - the postage system here is very very prompt - I can post a letter to my sister in Christchurch and she will get it next day - once I posted her a letter really early in the morning and she got that day - its never happened again - but it was freaky!

nztreasure, I have lived in the US all my life and still can't figure out the postal system, so good luck!

dsn1225 - I'm not wur-they!!!! LOL we'll just see how this season goes. Just remember, that was last year, this is THIS year...:p
