Happy face Hello from a Newbie!

Hi everyone! My name is Jodi aka CalGalinFla. You may have seen me in the Contest Forum - I am the new game show host here on the boards. I have been working with Amanda on various projects for a while now and she has landed me full time doing the contests. I posted my first two contests today!

I am really looking forward to interacting with everyone here. I really like the site, and I consult it often. Today I even replied to some threads! Woo Hoo!

Happy face

Hello!

I am married! My parents just moved in with us, they are 84 and 82. I have a 25 year old, and she is a Montessori school teacher in the Pacific North West. I work from home. I love to read and cook. My hobbies at the time are caring for my folks. My mother is blind & quite disabled, diabetes too. Poor thing. Dad is a rock star. Doing great!!! I dont get much time these days, but that is ok! Idle hands, idle mind and all that. Doing the work on FC has really been amazing! It is really giving me a feeling of belonging and friendship. WOW! So that is a little bit about me. Not very exciting I'm afraid! If anyone has heart friendly and yummy recipes for my folks, point me in the right direction. I am re-inventing everything these days and can always use ideas!

Have a great day everyone!

J. (I've been looking for this pot of gold everywhere!! Finally found it! Hooray!)

Jodi, wow! I can certainly understand why you work on FC since you are tied to being at home with your responsibilities. Working with your parents must be a lot of work, but satisfying at the same time.

We are glad to have you here at FC!

Yeah its a lot of work - but they are so amazing. And yes its very rewarding. I love having them here. Its a lot of stress off of their backs not to have the worries of running a house hold, and paying bills and what's for dinner. Thank you for the link to the lowfat dishes. I need it!!!

Bye for now...........

Jodi, wow, you are certainly busy but I am glad you are here with us on FC, My mom was a diabetic and started using recipes from the Diabetic Association cookbooks and I have to say they food was really good. They are also heart healthy. I have tried several of the recipes and loved them. (and I am not diabetic). I bet having your parents live with you eases your mind as you know they are both safe and well cared for.
