Hello Sweetnell3 , thanks for the welcome.
I have a son who is 28, he lives in Colorado, he is married , and they have my only grandchild. My grandson is 3 1/2 . My youngest son is almost 22, and still lives here at home with us. He was laid off from his job several months ago now, and is really struggling trying to find something else. We are all really suffering hard times here like we haven't seen in a very long time. Anyway , I love to sew , but am not really very good at it. But I still dabble in it every now and then. I used to crochet a very long time ago , back before my youngest son was born. I just really do not like string and yarn the way that I just love fabric. I really love fabric shopping , when I used to be able to do that. I still window shop online like on Ebay and Etsy. I do not work , as my husband and I only have one car and he has to have it to take to work. His job requires unregular hours alot of the time , so there is just no way for me to get around while he is gone.
Well I guess I better close for now. Nice to chat with you. Please feel free to message me anytime.................... Your Pal , Deborah

Deborah, here is the forum for sewing. I hope this helps. You can always click on New Posts, at the top of the page to see which posts are current and most active. That may help reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed.

Hi Deborah and welcome. Glad to have you join us.

Back in the 1960's I lived in the TX panhandle.
I like to do different types of needlework. Not too good at sewing.
Hope to see you in some of the forums. Just jump in anywhere.

Happy face

Deborah, I'm Minny & I live in Florida, formerly from Ohio.
I like sewing . I like to do crafts that can be done quickly. I crochet, but don't knit. I'm sure you will find something that interests you here. If you need any help, just ask & someone will be glad to help you.

This is my first post and my introduction to the group. In the past, I have enjoyed the recipes from the FC's e-mails and would love to receive more recipes and cooking ideas. I'm a chemist and also love to garden. I was widowed four years ago and am 66 years old (a little old for your group perhaps) but hopefully we can find some common threads. I appreciate you "listening".

Hello Deborah, I'm from the Lone star state as well.. what part of Tx do you live
in?
what kind of crafts do you like to do?
I've not done crafts in awhile, due to time, and going thru other kind of sitations, but when I do, I like to make little simple things.
I've made mums, gift baskets, christmas gifts, made over the last few yrs blankets for the grandbabies.

Anyways welcome to FC, a site that is great, with tons of things to do and see.
Feel free to jump into any conversations, share your craft and tips with those that are learning. You may even get a few from us.
