Welcome to Family Corner fxyrxy71 !!

Hello from the heart of Cajun Country, Louisiana!! It's very nice to meet you both! Very happy that y'all decided to join us! This is my absolute favorite "corner" of the web! This is a great place to make friends and find support. Everyone here is like a great big family. You won't find a more friendly group of people!

I am a mother of three children...one daughter (age 21 and getting married at the end of this month) and two sons (ages 13 & 11). I am also primary care giver for my 86 y.o. father-in-law.

I'd like to extend an invitation for you to join us at a few threads. Click on any of the links below and it will take you to different threads/subjects around the site. Once there, just click on "post reply" and jump in with both feet! You'll have fun, meet some great people and just have an all around great time. If you ever need some extra help just click on the "pm" button at the bottom of my post and send me a private message. I'll do all that I can to lend a helping hand!

Friendship Flower Thread this is the only thread that does not have a designated subject. At this thread, you can talk about anything (within reason) without having to worry about getting off-topic! By posting, we "grow" a flower. We start out with an empty pot and end up with a gorgeous flower/plant. We never know what we're going to end up with but we have yet to be disapppointed!

What's for Dinner - yes, we discuss menu plans for the main meal of the day. But we also share recipes, joys, sorrows and so much more.

Hello fxyrxy71 Welcome to FC. This is the best site this sid eof Heaven that you will find. A place to meet new ppl and have lots, and lots of FUN. But I am WARNING ya THIS SITE IS ADDICTIVE... There are lots to do here and if ya need help just ask, many great women here to steer ya in the right direction and keep ya straight to LOL. But it is all in FUN and pull up a chair, grab a drink and play a game or too. I have been here since May this year and I find something new everyday to do. Maybe someday I will get all around FC. But I am Teresa from SC, and welcome aboard.

Welcome
fxyrxy71 and Louise

yes there are so many things here, glad you found this site, it a home away from home, and everyone is friendly, helpful, kind, and the list goes on.
where to start, in places you like to do, if you like to chat, try out the friendship flower, if you like cooking then you will love the cooking threads.
if you like crafts, we got alot of others that does too, and you might share your ideas, and they with you
since you have kids, we have forums for parenting, as well as ideas to do with your kids ....
just about a little bit of everything. LOL

take your shoes off, get comfy with your favorite drink, coffee- tea--- or whatever--- and plan to forget the hours, for they will pass by so fast that you will wonder where the time went. and I will tell you up front it here at FC .... but that ok, for many of us like myself are HOOKED and can't be away from here to long of a time.

by the way I'm a grandmother of 2 precious gdaughters, 2 gsons,
that are under the age of 7.... and I also teach a after school program for K-1st graders. have helped in youth org. for boys and girls and had one of each... back yrs ago. My oldest one is 28 (a girl)
the youngest one is the boy age of 23 soon to be 24,,, oooooch that hurt. it hard for our babies to grow up older they get older we get.

fxyrxy71
give those little girls of yours a hug and enjoy them before they grow up and lock your doors. for girls can be a sweety but boy they can give you a run for your money..... LOL

Louise
I love horses too, I have 2, one is an mini Palmino, and the other one is Arab. which is full size.
back in 86 I was involved in a wagon trail and loved it.

see you around I hope.

Introducing myself

Hello Ladies,

My name is Karen. I'm from Pennsylvania, where I have lived my entire life. My husband and I have been married for 2 years. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, Summer. We also have a toy poodle, Boo Boo, and a cat, Kiwi.

A friend of mine had forwarded me a newsletter from this site that had children's crafts on it and when I started looking around the site, I couldn't stop and now I spend 2 hours or more a day on this site when my daughter is watching her morning cartoons and when she takes her afternoon nap.

Hello from South Dakota!!

Hello all from South Dakota! I'm a newlywed (Aug 20) and a former single mom to a 12 year old boy who will be 13 next month! I myself love to crochet, cross stitch, sew, read, and do some beadwork. My latest project was to make kitty balls with jingle bells, based on one I picked up at the store. The kittens sure love my experiments! My husband, son and I all like to go hiking, fishing, camping, and they like to watch sports on TV.

Due to loss of jobs, I will DEFINITELY be haunting the frugality thread, I think I even convinced DH to start rolling cigs for awhile, since he's not ready to quit yet.

Looking forward to seeing all of you on the boards!!
