haven't had any notices so forgot to check in here...it has been a month ..
so..a big welcome to all that I have missed: Tappy toes, candyd, SheilaKay, dharma, Stargirl, Country Lady, Bjordancompany, diane175, Louise S, Morrigan1974, Heather, Kattididd, and last but not least missemilysmom...hope I didn't miss anyone.
It has been some time since I gave my stats so here goes, I am a widow, an FC addict, a senior citizen (lol), mother of 4, grandmother of 5, and the greatgrandmother of 4..I have a frisky, sometimes lovable and sometimes annoying, 10 month old cat named Jerry, and I am a retired accountant...I love my pc, gardening, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles..and game on FC...guess that is about all I can think of this early in the a.m.
so WELCOME to a great place (been here 2 years now)..enjoy Mickey Mouse day....

Margaret, I also have 4 grandchildren, would love to retire in a few years, but dont know if that is going to happen. I can retire maybe at 55, but have to check it out financially.

Since I was widowed and became a single Mom at age 42, early retirement was not an option for me...actually I was still working in June 2003 when I had my by-pass. Even gave some instructions via the phone from my hospital bed
and I was 73.......

I have three children...one daughter (age 21 and just married this past month ) and two sons (ages 13 & 11). I am also primary caregiver for my 86 y.o. father-in-law.

Friendship Flower Thread this is the only thread that does not have a designated subject. At this thread, you can talk about anything (within reason) without having to worry about getting off-topic! By posting, we "grow" a flower. We start out with an empty pot and end up with a gorgeous flower/plant. We never know what we're going to end up with but we have yet to be disapppointed!
Frugal Living While I don't actively participate in this forum, I do "lurk" there often. It's amazing some of the frugal ideas those ladies have and the deals they get!
