I'm Dharma. I'm a SAHM with two DD and a DH and I start my new job at my oldest DD's school on Monday.
I have a lot of different interests including various crafts, quilting/sewing, knitting, creative writing and decorating. I'm a girl scout leader and I do volunteer work.

Hi to all the "newbies". My name is Carol, (there are about 2 or 3 other Carol's on the boards also), and my username on the boards is Cam1952. I work at K Mart as a cashier...just started, so everything is still fairly overwhelming.
Dharma, I used to watch a comedy on tv called "Dharma and Greg"...it was one of my favorite shows. Never could understand why they took the show off the air, but I DO catch re-runs every once in awhile...lol.
When I lived in Mississippi, (my dh is from there) I barely knew anyone, and Family Corner helped me make some new friends. So when my dd and dh were at work and school, and I wasn't working at the time, everyone here at Family Corner made me feel not quite so lonely. I am now living in Pennsylvania, (where I'M from) just moved back here this summer...(got tired of outrunning the hurricanes), and dh was experiencing alot of heat- related episodes, one landed him in the hospital at one time, so he's enjoying being in a cooler climate...we'll see how he likes winter, as Mississippi has a very hot climate almost year 'round.

Wished I had been a member in FC when I was a girl scout leader in my dd group...that was about 7 or 8 years ago. I could have used ALOT of advice and ideas then.

Thanks for the warm welcome. For those who asked, I'll be a Title I Instructional Aide, which has a lot of different aspects, primarily working with kids who are not at grade level as well as intervention in the younger grades.
Today, however, I was the substitute music teacher. My was that a surprise and a challenge. All worked out well and the work day is done. Whew!
