Hi everyone! I am a mom of two cute kids, ds 4 1/2 and dd 3 1/4 (they are 13 1/2 months apart). And I am from Bright's Grove. I have lived here for almost 7 years, with a year in Sarnia and originally from Wallaceburg.
Beautiful Lake Huron is 3 long blocks from my home and on windy days I can here the winds crashing on the shore. Would love to talk to other moms in the area or the country as well.
I love the shores of Lake Huron. I grew up in Goderich but have been living in the Ottawa Valley for about 13 years. I have 3 children, a boy age 9, a girl age 6 and a boy almost 4. My family still lives in Goderich and I usually visit at least once a year.
I also like to cross stitch and read. I also make crafts and am a stay at home mom. Please feel free to contact me it would be nice to chat with someone with similar interests.
What I would like to know is where is every one? Ontario has so many people living in it and no one is here. What's up with that?
I am a stay at home mom of 3. Two sons ages 9 1/2 & almost 4, a daughter age 6. They are wonderful kids even if they do drive me nuts some days.
I live in the Ottawa Valley. I've been living here for 13 years but I grew up on the shores of Lake Huron in Goderich. The prettiest town in Canada.
In my spare time I love cross stitching, crafts, sewing (except clothing) and playing games.
A year and a half ago I decided the kids were getting old enough to start volunteering my time. Now I am a Scout leader for boys and girls. I have 5 in my troop. One is diagnosed with ADHD & one is slow at learning. These 2 and 1 other one can only read between a grade 3 and 4 level. I am having trouble finding games to play and crafts to do with them that are educational. (ex. nature, weather, recycling, cultural awareness, home safety, just to name a few) I would welcome anyone's suggestions.
Feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from anyone who has any ideas or would just like to chat about life.
Let me know there is someone else in Ontario using this site. I know there are people out there that have questions that others can help answer.
ok, here i am...in kingston.....the place for penpals:p
i'm over 50 and retired on disability from working in the provincial correctional system. one dd, age 27, who isn't talking to me right now, but that's not unusual
have a very dh who is the joy of my life, along with two german shepherds and a parrot
i'm trying to lose weight and live frugally and i love to cook. nutrition is a major issue for me. what goes in comes out or ends up somewhere, somehow
Hi Carol! It's sad your DD not talking to you, hope you will talk to each other soon. But it's great you have a happy marriage!
I too have two parrotlets, but they are constantly fighting, driving me nuts.
I must live frugally because I have very limited income, but still sometimes I buy unnecessary things.
Take care, talk to you soon,
Olga

I am a Kitchener resident (13 yrs) with a dh of 27 yrs and two children, 22 & 23. We also house 3 furpups, Brandy 14, Kenu 10 and Cleo 16 mos. Fairly busy household.
I have started a Pet Sitting business and am fairly busy right now with vacationers.
i've just been checking out a couple of doggie 'bed and breakfast" places that have started up and am so happy there is finally an alternative for the darlin's other than cages or left alone..
You may well have a pet sitter in your area....though they may not be advertised in the y.p. My little advert will go in The Phone Guide coming out later this month. I'm not in the bell directory, tho.
You could also ask your vet if they know of anyone. At our vet's (and they are very nice people) the dogs would be kept in kennel cages and they do not have a grassy walking area.
