Summer holiday

Deb, there is a lot to be said for the shorter vacation period. I'm a former teacher and the kids do forget quite a bit when they are out of school for that length of time!

M kidies find the 6 weeks too much too and are more than ready to go back before the summer holidays are over.

I am dreading my youngest going back as he will be going from reception (age 4) into year 1, which is the infants and in each school holiday throughout the year he has cried and that was after a period of only 2 weeks at the most. So I know we will have tears from him especially after 6 weeks.
