Angel power

Do you believe in the power of asking your angels, guides, and higher powers, God, great spirit (or what ever you wish to call them by name) for what you want, and most importantly to THANK for all you have? We must always be aware and listen to what they are telling us, as they try to get us through this very challanging life we have! They are always with us and all we have to do is ask for their help!

Hi Alida,
Thank you for your new posts!!!

My higher power is Jesus!! I go on all sorts of retreats though and am very open and accepting of people of all different beliefs!!!
I am a pretty simple minded person really and I just think, especially during these awful days of war and terror our world needs more accepatance of one another!! That is how I try to live my life. Life is too short to disagree on our differences when the time could be better spent learning from one another!!!

Well, I just reread what I wrote and I guess that DIDN"T sound so simple minded afterall!! LOL!!!

hugs, train

Omega Holistic Retreat Center

Omega Institute in upsate New York is by far the best place I have been to on a retreat!!

It's the countries largest alternative education and retreat center. It is an oasis for people aspiring to know and heal themselves and to mingle with others on the same search.

Send for a catalog which will show you their lovely grounds and tell about all the different classes, retreats and workshops they offer.

Good morning Trainlady, I think we are DEFINATELY going to become very good cyberfriends!! I was raised a good Catholic girl and also brought my kids up that way, although some of their teachings were not my beliefs as I got older (confession was one of them- that should be just between you and God), then when my first dh died 11 yrs ago, I became very spirtual in other ways, trying to deal with the extreme pain of my loss. I am happily married now to the most wonderful man in the world (my opinion, of course) but in my journey to find peace and answers I sought out help from areas that are questionable by some, but I kept an open mind and am now on a different road than 12 yrs ago! Funny how life and learning can change you! one of my teachers along the road said that was his gift to me!
Sure would like to go one a retreat someday! They sound rejuvinating!! I have had a very stressful work life the last couple years and am reading a book on staying positive, I think it is working, things are getting better! I really believe that all the religions (good ones-meaning not evil) and beliefs are tied in together and just variations, and as with you the world needs more respect of one another and compassion!

So sorry to hear about the loss of your first husband at such a young age. That is a heartache I cannot even imagine. And "Sorry" seems like such an inadequate word to say.

It is wonderful that you have someone else to share your love and life with.

You sound like a very sweet and spirit filled woman and I look forward to getting to know you more and more on the Family Corner!! Isn't this a great place, I just love it here!!

So, tell me more about yourself! Are you a native of Canada?
What kind of things do you do for fun?
What do you do to relax?

I agree with what you say about Catholicism. I too, do not agree with everything but since I have "gone to mass" all my 43 years, it's just in my roots!! I also attend Protestant services and have for 12 years now so am exposed to different ways of worship which I enjoy very much. I get the more traditional at mass, the kneeling and silent prayer, etc. At Protestant services I get more praise and hand lifting music and bible teachings!! Same God. Different Buildings is what I always say!!

What book are you reading!! I think we could all benefit from a book that teaches how to be more positive!!
Take good care and have a great vacation!!

hugs, train

My spiritual guides

I believe in angels whom I think are our caretakers along side the Lord. I am Catholic and brought up as such, but it wasn't the religion that made me see things. I have had experiences beyond belief that I only contribute to my angel guides working closely with God. There isn't enough room here to tell you all of them, you just need to know they are they with us always and if you talk to them they listen. The more you believe the more they listen and protect and act. I recently lost my mother and I spoke to my angel guide to speak to hers to ask God to take her peacefully and quickly as she wanted, and that he did the very next day. Of coarse the Lord hears us at any time, but I do believe in angels and feel a fierce protective presence around me all the time. Bless you all

ckblowers, would LOVE to hear some of your stories if you have time to type them out! So sorry to hear about your Mom, but as you know she is there with you when you need her, and yes you are right, you must believe in the angels and learn to LISTEN to them!
Trainlady the book I am reading is called "Excuse me, your life is waiting" by lynn grabhorn. VERY GOOD BOOK!! She says you can have whatever you want, you just have to think of it in the right way, positive thinking!
On Saturday I am going to an Angel workshop, will let you know how it was.....
