Any other dancers on Family Corner, whether it be ball room, rock and roll, country two stepping, square dancing, etc???
Mark and I have been taking square dance lessons since September and are loving it!
The group we are in is very friendly. They celebrate every holiday with a dance and potluck!!
That will be so nice come New Years and Valentines day, etc.
Neither of us are into nightclubbing or bars so this will give us something to do on upcoming holidays!
We didn't think this type of dancing would be a workout but we were WRONG!!!!
Donna unfortunately I have 2 left feet and absolutely NO sense of rythm (sp) what happened to me I have no idea as both my parents were great out on the floor as well as my brothers. Oh well someone has to sit and watch right? Have fun and so happy for both of you

Thought for the Day
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream;
Not only plan, but also believe.
With square dancing you don't have to be especially coordinated but you do have to so a lot of "remembering" of the different steps!
I'm not a very good dancer and get my left from right mixed up but I am having more fun than I thought I would!
Again talking about my late husband...he was a tall and heavy man and could not dance a lick but did because he knew I loved to dance! I was at a woman's dinner and they had "Cloggers" for entertainment and I was intrigued, I wanted to learn, so I signed up and went home and told my late husband and asked him if he wanted to learn...to my very much surprise, he signed up as well. We took lessons for 2 yrs before he passed and believe me, he was very good, very light on his feet and learned with ease, I, on the other hand, had a hard time with the coordination of the steps so fortunately, I was able to take video of him at the studio because our instructor thought it would help me learn easier...so I have this video of my late husband Clogging and I treasure that tape!
Hi Bilby,
Yes, we are still square dancing!
We have completed our beginning and mainstream lessons.
We are in Pluis lessons right now and, Believe ME, they are HARD!!!!!!!!
