Im having a girl!!
After going through some difficult times in the last couple of weeks, we got great news yesterday! At my checkup last week, the doctor heard some unusual sounds in the baby's heartbeat which concerned them a little considering my age, the problems Ive been having and the fact that Im at 25 weeks but measuring like Im at 30 weeks. SO.....off I went for a level 2 sonogram ( yesterday).
After being poked and prodded for a long time, all the news came back great!!
There doesnt appear to being anything wrong with her heart --docs there said it is quite commom for a baby to have an extra little beat while still growing and it will probably go away even before she is born. Then we got to see( without a doubt ;-) ) that she is a girl!! She likes to move around A LOT! She even made a fist at us, LOL! As far as measuring bigger, she is right on track for an arrival of May 28 so I shoudnt worry about that either. What great news!!
Her big brother was a little disappointed at first that it wasnt a boy but by the end of the checkup he was telling anyone who would listen that he was going to take care of her anyway 'cause he is the BIG brother!! He is into singing to her now....it is so cute.
Im off to buy some pink stuff !! Oh yeah, Grandma is tickled pink ( sorry couldnt resist) too!! She has 3 little grandsons now but her only grand daughter so far is about to turn 18. She has been making bibs and blankets and little things but she said she was headed out today to buy some girl stuff....lookout!!
If you cant tell, we are all kinda giddy around here now!!
Sure hope everyone else here is doing just fine too!!!
