Wow!!! What a story that is. Hitting the chief of police. LOL.....

I get so annoyed when I am driving and I see people "flapping" on there cell phones.

I commute to work. (Off during summer.) I cannot believe the impatient people on the highway. The people whoe swerve around one car, into the next lane, etc. And tailgaters!!!!

And how about when you are waiting at a stop sign....waiting for a car to go by and the person behind you is blowing their horn!!

I'm so glad we live in an area where there's not a lot of traffic--if someone is going faster than you they just pass you...no big deal--no shouting or gesturing lol!! And the ones that do the weaving are always the same ones and usually we all know why they're in such a hurry so no one gets aggravated. I just hate it when there's a lot of oncoming traffic and they ride my bumper waiting for a clearing...

I hate riding into the city now--we have to drive thru heavy traffic and construction to get anywhere!! I'm always relieved to get back into the country where the biggest problem is the big tractors you can hardly get around lolol!!

My pet peeves

1) Your crossing the road in the crosswalk with your kids/toddlers
and the cars cannot either a) STOP AT ALL, b) WAIT UNTIL YOU
HAVE FULLY CROSSED THE ROAD, and give you UGLY looks
like you purposely went out of your way to make them late
for whatever reason they are SPEEDING..in the first place..

2) People staring or offering comments (usually not the best
ones anyways) to you as your toddler is throwing a fit in a
public place..

3) When you have a sign on your door to knock while you
have kids sleeping at naptime....and people seem to RING
the doorbell constantly....then they apologize and ask if
they woke up the kids when they hear somebody crying...

4) Drunken neighbors throwing a LOUD barbeque, cussing
raising cane, during the day, while kids are in the yard
playing ...

Wow!!! That just brought back some memories. Why are people like that???? They almost make you feel like a criminal!!!!

How about the people who try to give you advise on what to do about your unruly child??? Do they have children???

There's my two cents!!!

Thank you!! I feel like a criminal, when my toddler does that...My two older ones, ages 8 & 11, know when it's time to leave a public place...lol
I am actually trying to just get my toddler to have a time out, where I walk away with him and come back in a few mins..it seems to be working...(didn't happen with my older two, they are both girls? I've been told boys are much different than girls in the behavior dept at that age...)

I wonder?

You are so welcome. I have many a story I could tell. Mainly involving my ds. But....what you wrote is so true. It's been that way since "Yuppieism". Hope I didn't offend anyone.

That would probably annoy me, also. Guess he likes hanging out at your house. My ds has friends over quite often. Especially when the weather is bad.

I get so annoyed when I constantly hear, "we're hungry". Don't get me wrong, I don't mind feeding anyone at all. But then I hear, "We wnat REAL food". LOL I'm like just grab a snack!

Irresponsible parents

UGH

This just happened a few days ago in a local shpg mall. We had spent the day just browsing. Dd1 had a friend along and dd2 had been good so I let her "ride" the kiddy rides. I give her 50c and she only gets to pick one, but pretends to go onall of them. Was raining outside so I didn't mind spending a bit watching her have fun.

Anyway, along comes this approx. 5yo boy doing the same thing, playing, but then he has the nerve to mumble about me giving him $ to ride the pony or whatever
Very well dressed in the latest fashions too. I told him that I didn't know him, he should not be talking to strangers and to go find his mom (who was no where to be found-very empty mall that day). He kept motioning for me to give him $ (and not in English)
I went to the c/s desk nearby, asked for a security guard. Whoosh she got one so quick. Then his brother-not much older I think- came along at the same time.
The guard questioned them, they pretended not to know what he was saying, then he asked for their mother (reaching for walky talky) suddenly they understood English and said (perfectly) that she was shopping in another store. Oh go figure!

lThe kids looked real scared as he led them off.

Guard came back to tell me everything was ok but the mom was on the other side of the mall ! She also pretended not to understand him like nothing was wrong, didn't know her kids were about 20 stores away. Then again, in perfect English asked the guard if he could watch her kids

Don't people care any more about children ? They could've been kidnapped or worse !
Of course I explained everything to the girls, a lesson learned I hope about doing good deeds and not going away from parents.

You've gotta be kidding!!

Ok that is myMAJOR # 1 SOAP BOX PET PEEVE!!! Mothers who do not know where their children and then these people who PRETEND to not know the english language. That irritates me to no end!

She was 20 stores away, didn't know and didn't care where her children were, my thinking is this, they should have just called the police. That is what they do here in NC. Even if they find the mother. If a security guard has had to be called, he calls the city police and they look for the mother and she is arrested for child endangerment.
Then they wonder how children get kidnapped or worse!!

My other one is" pretending" not to know our language. If they don't know our language, then how can they read to get a license, a price tag, count money or even read the name of the store that they are in. How can they write a check?
