Mine are hydrangeas, daffodils, lilacs and gardenias!!
Those would make a beautiful bouqeut and smell heavenly if I knew anything about gardening!! LOL!!!
My absolute favorite flower is peonies! I also love sweet peas, lilacs, and pansies.
I love all white flowers too. My wedding bouquet was completely white, with roses and orchids. It was fabulous! It was not popular to do this 23 years ago, when I got married, but I am glad that I insisted with my florist. At that time it seemed like everyone carried red or pink roses. Sometimes, I am happy with being stubborn! When I look at my wedding photos, I think it looks wonderful!
I like lilacs, since they bring back memories of my grandmother. She had HUGE lilac bushes growing in her yard, so tall that the flowers were level with the second floor windows (and this was a 100 year old house with 12-foot ceilings!) In spring the scent was fabulous.
Suealln, I can kill just about any plant! My DS's homeroom teacher gave me a plant for being a room mom. It's a lovely cyclamen and it's dying in my dining room right now DH keeps saying, "Maybe if you WATERED it...." but it's just not something I think about!
Barbszy, Same here. Although my mom says I should water less. lol. I either water too much or not enough.
I had a purple passion plant that I bought at the flea market. It was a beautiful plant. Had cotton like blooms. Deep purple leaves. Beautiful. I ended up throwing it away last week. The stems were brittle, no leaves left on it. I'd had it maybe three months.
Now, I have a bamboo plant. It's doing pretty good. So far. They say you CAN'T kill those. HA! We'll see. Although I'm trying to keep it alive.
My brother is good with plants. He has an aloe plant that he saved from a winter outside. I'd left it out too long one year, and thought it was dead, because of the way it looked all brown and mushy. He brought it in, and somehow brought it back. Now, he has about 30 plants from it. It's big, and very full. He has to separate some and replant them all the time. I got one from him and it lasted maybe 2 or 3 months. I wouldn't have believed he brought it back after spending the whole winter outside. But he did.
Oh well. Guess I'm just not a plant person. Wish I were.
Anyway my word is:
juniper
