well i did this for a stranger.
a ladt was in walmart, getting a sandwichshe couldn't walk too good so i told her i would go get the sandwich when they got it made she thought that was so nice of me and it made my day.
We picked the concord grapes in my back yard and gave them to my mother in law. She just loves to make grape juice. She made jelly out of it and gave me a bottle of jam!
I make 6 loaves of bread every week, and I usually give 1 loaf away to either my mil, a neighbor, or my hair dresser.

someone gave me concert tickets to go see Gathers once
another time someone send me a hundred dollars to help with medical bills
another time yrs ago. when my son was a little boy about 2 yrs old which would make it 20 yrs ago. I was in a sever car wreak and these sweet woman came over to the car, and gave us a blanket for my son to wrap up in for he was wet and I was out and couldn't take care of him, and they left the blanket for him and made sure the ambulance got there. I kept that blanket for yrs until we had to throw it out due to our dog getting up on it and giving birth to her babies and ruined it. our son was about 10 or 11 yrs old I think when this happen. He knew it was his blanket and why it was his blanket.
do have many other stories as well. I have been blessed. hope others has been blessed as well.
guess this is one reason I like to do for others to pay back for all the things that has happen that someone did something nice for me. which helps takes care of the bad stuff that has happen in my life as well.
Bar_bar - you sound like a very generous person. It sounds like people have been good to you too. It seems that when we do random acts of kindness we get so much more back!

When I was preg. with dd#2 I got hurt and couldn't walk (nor less drive) really for the last 4 mos. All my friends and even some I barely knew rallied to help take care of us. Bring food over, cart dd#1 back and forth from school etc. Such an outpouring of kindness I still can't believe.
So now I always try to continue those acts. I can never repay my friends, they all mean so much to me.
Today in fact just found out that a close friend has a preg. neice moving in with them who has nothing at all. Dont' know all the details but I guess it is a difficult situation as she may be a young kid. Been trying for a couple years to sell my baby stuff. Doesn't anyone buy strollers at garage sales anymore? I'd much rather give my stuff away to someone who appreciates it than sell to a stranger any day. Tears in my eyes as I made the phone call to say she would be getting stroller, diaper genie, infant car seat and a full wardrobe of maternity work and play clothes. Can't wait to meet this girl and just give her a big hug.
I feel so good now !
bar_bar, thanks, I didn't even know that thread was there. This place is so big I will eventually get to see all (and then there will be even more )
The first link worked, the 2nd did not.
I hope to deliver the clothes tomorrow, think she moved in today and wanted to give her some adjusting time.
I am glad you found your way over there. we all got to help one anoather around here, for this is a big and lots of things.
you just got to search and let one search get u to another, and learn from one another.
hope to see you around. and don't forget there is the pm room to write personal message to one another. I have met a few that we have even email one another now and not use this so much to stay in touch of couse we still see one another on here to.
