| A Similar Incident...
We had moved and it was in the late Summer. My son was to begin Kindergarten in Sept. Well, I made all of the bus arrangements with the school transportation dept. The supervisor said that my son , who by the way was the only one to get off on this road, would be there at approx. 3:35-3:45. Well, I waited til 4pm, still no bus. I went in the house to call the school... no answer. Next I called the bus shop, they hadn't heard from the driver..., then they called the driver and gave me her number so I too could try to call. They couldn't get her. I tried calling her until nearly 5pm, I got no answer... Well, it was getting dusky out and I was a nervous wreck (putting it mildly...). A call came- it was the bus driver!!!! She had my baby!!! And said "I didn't know who he was..She had taken him out to her cattle farm and showed him around as she had tried to call the school also with no response to find out who he was, but she did say that as she passed our road my son did speak out "you need to turn that way to go to my house" he knew what he was speaking of. Well , the supervisor had never even let her know to put him on the route, for her to know where he lived, or who he was. She said my son told her he was hungry. She gave him a couple of cookies and a glass of water! She told me where she lived, which was less than a mile from here. We were some very happy parents- and so thankful that he got back home safe and sound. :-P:: ***after that , it was made an official bus stop-we made double sure of that!!!
