70s Movies

does anyone have an absolute favorite? I remember the 70s being a time that my father and I went to the movies together a lot since my Mom didn't really like the new edginess to the films and I just loved it.

There's a documentary coming on the Indepdendent Film Channel later this week called A Decade Under the Influence. It was done by Ted Demme and it's all about the movies from the 70s -- how they were able to make something so new and fresh, what the scene was at the time, and I suspect even how the civil rights movement affected movies back then. I can't wait to see it. Has anyone else seen an ad for it?

My favorite 70s movies were "Saturday Night Fever" and "If Ever I See You Again."

My favourite 70's movie would have to be Grease in '78 or '79 I think.
Grease II just didn't cut it I'm afraid.

Didn't see many movies in the '70's....but I did get taken to see GREASE! Great music! My dad was scandalized at the drive-in movie scene though

I don't remeber seeing many mvoies in the 70's. I love Grease but didn't see it at the theater. What year was ET out? I saw that in the drivein.

ET came out in 82 or 83 I think. I loved Scavenger Hunt. Never has been released on DVD.

Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1975 I must say I was only 9 then and didn't actually watch it until I was 16.

I would say Blues Brothers but that was 1980 and doesn't quite squeeze in and Blues Bros 2000 was horrible!

True about Blues brothers 2000, Bilby, but the original is one of my favorite movies EVER!
