| A few months ago, I was at my MILs house. She was watching, Everybody Loves Raymond. As we both watched it, my first, she said, "This is where I get ideas on how to be a mil." As I watched, I realized that Debra wasn't that keen on being the perfect daughter-in-law. So, I stated that it seemed like a good show to learn how to be a good dil. ROTFL. I have been hooked on the show ever since. I think I married Raymond as he is like my DH and I am like Debra. Thank goodness that my mil lives in West Texas and Travels as she is meddlesome. I think that if she did live across the street from me, there would be problems. (She carried around a clipboard to talk to the contractors when they were building her house.) My DH was a momma's boy when he was younger, but I broke him of that. I want him to be close to his mamma without sacrificing his family. I am stern, but I will deal with a certin amount of things for the family, just like the mother, Debra. I really relate to her. |
