I have had my PDA less then a year
My DS put all the phone numbers in it for me.
I just found the best thing to do was to always have it with me.
If I have it I add things I need to remember to it such as a new phone number, an appointment, a coworks day off, my own days off, any change from my usual schedule.
I also keep all the meds I am on in it since I am on a lot and whne asked in an emergency I almost always for get something, I also keep my allergies there too.
I am in grad school and I recently found a great program for school thru school and the best thing it is free, it is a pharmacy program ( I am a nurse).
I even put reminders in there for myself so I do not forget to do things.
Don't forget those important things like appointments, wether they are for me the cat my son or my hair I need to remember them to get to them.
I try to look either before bed or first thing in the morning at my calander so I do not forget anything.
Agaian, it doesn't help unless you have it with you...it makes the task less daunting to add one appointment then to have to add 10.
Also learning to use the graffitti was the greatest time saver also.
Ruth

Ps lets not forget the games....

I'been using a PDA for about 4 months now, and I LOVE it! I can sync it with my computer at work, and keep my work schedule and personal schedule in one location. I keep my computer address book on it too. I am not ever without the address and phone information I need.

Oh to be so organized. I'm embarrassed to say that I've loaded and lost information twice on my PDA because I didn't change batteries in time--what a dope. Anyway it is on my list of things to do because when I had it up and operating it was great to have EVERYTHING I needed at my fingertips (phone numbers, addresses, meds, birthdates, etc.).

My PDA

I love my Handspring Visor Deluxe. I have used it for over a year and I call it my new best friend. I use it for everything. I have never been so organized. There are many free programs out there to organize your life. I have memo files for gifts, books I want to read, books I've read, movies I've seen , movies I want to see, a file for each of my children (6 girls) with all their preferences, sizes, etc., and a file for each of my 7 grandchildren. Syncing it to my computer is a must at least several times a week. Everything I used to put on sticky notes is now safe on my pda and I don't forget as much, or if I do I know where to look for the info.

PDAs

Do you use a PDA (Palm Pilot, Pocket PC, Clie, whatever?)

What software do you like, and where are some great places to get free or inexpensive software for PDAs?

Also, how do you use your PDA to organize info for your family?

I'm looking for some great ideas on how to put my PDA to better use.

I can't figure out how to "beam" messages from mine to someone elses. Do you have to be in the same room as the person?

LJsmom, you have to be in the same room, both PDAs have to be on and I think the IR ports have to be facing each other. Then you select "BEAM" in your menu.
HTH!
