Different magazines

Reiman publishers's magazines seem to be some of our favorites but I have not seen mentioned LIght and Tasty. The receipes still taste like regular food. Reminisce and Reminisce extra and if you are too young to remember the 20's. 30'w, 40's and 50's you can teach your kids a little fun history. Country Discoveries have unusal places to see as you travel submitted by readers. Birds and Bloom.
Another really good magazine I get is Pray. With a lot of ideas to keep me excited about my prayer life. It is not a denominational magaine. I get Tea, A magazine and The TeaTime Gazette.
I have taken most of the others mentioned as they have offered good deals but I like to mention different ones that I have not seen mentioned.

Hi MaMaw:
I, too, like Birds and Bloom. After reading the magazine, I use the pretty pictures to make envelopes with a template I have called Kreate-A-Lope. Before my husband had a subscription to the magazine, I bought old issues it at the thrift shop for $.10 each.

I love magazines, too. I subscribe to Country Woman and Practical Horseman. I also buy Backwoods Home, Back Home, Countryside, and The Mother Earth News pretty much every month. besides those my mom gives me her Better Homes and Gardens and Family Circle and Reader's Digest. She used to give me Country Living but she dropped her subscription ( I tried really hard to get her to keep it.)(lol). I also buy occasional quilt mags and other craft magazines. Has anyone read Spirit Filled Woman? They have some really good articles in it. Another favorite of mine is Discipleship Journal. What is Real Simple like? It sounds like it might be right up my alley. Have a lovely day and God Bless.

chuckle Magazines

I subscribe to Taste of Home, Birds and Blooms, Country Living Gardner, and Garden Gate. I read them from the first page through to the last. They have no ads in them, and that's for me. I hate magazines with almost nothing but page after page of ads.

I see some of you read Family Circle, and Woman's Day. I used to buy those at the store when doing my grocery shopping years ago, and they only cost .25 cents then.

Magazines

I have been ordering Prevention Magazine since the eighties. I hate to get rid of them. Seems every time you read them over find something you missed. The articles give alot of healthful information.

Organic Gardening is another good one. Years ago they use to give you packets of seed for 10 cents. I love to read about new varieties of vegetables.

Taste of Home has wonderful recipes feel like you want to make everything they look so good.

Can go online and read alot of the magazines too.

We have a section in our Club House where everyone donates their old magazines. Especially like the computer magazines since they are so expensive to buy. Sueanne

Thank you

Finally I found out I'm not alone, here! I do am a magazines freak, I buy like a maniac, and try to read it all... I feel as if every magazine is a wraped gift - you never know what's inside, and every time I buy one, I'm just like a child I think I wouldnt be too far from the truth if I'd say that they make my days brighter !!!

I usually buy Family Circle, Womans Day, Martha Stewart Living, and Good Housekeeping, as for the US magazines. I buy Vital and Marie Claire, french, and all the portuguese ones - the monthly ones, I mean. I also buy a couple of spanish ones: Micasa, Cosas de Casa, Marie Claire... I find it very difficult to buy US ones, so I only buy random issues - the ones I can get... If I would only buy one - God forbid - Us would be Womans Day.Frech would be Vital, Spanish would be Micasa (decoration) and portuguese would be Maxima ( kinda likeamerican Harpers Bazaar...). And, PLEASE do not ask me to cut my list shorter!!!

My best wish would be to subscribe Woman's Day and Family Circle! I'm considering it... dunno about the costs, though...

Well, I'll catch ya later, you fellow addicted gals

Oooooh magazines, here are what dh and I sub to, and this doesn't include the kids' subscriptions (which are 6 magazines currently):

Audubon
American Artist
American Art Review
Brain, Child
Children's Writer Newsletter
Countryside
Expressions
Home Education
Mother Earth News
Organic Gardening
SCBWI Bulletin
Smithsonian
The Artist's Magazine
Watercolor Magic
The Writer
Utne Reader

I don't have a favorite; I love them all, and I would sub to more if I only had the time to read them. Sew News would be one that I'd add in a heartbeat.

I love Southern Living and Taste of Home. For my kids I love Ranger Rick...it has great animal pictures. Also, the magazine put out by Focus on the Family organization has some wonderful articles, and there is a catalog for homeschooling products called the Elijah Company that has exceptional articles written amongst the products.

Where do you all get the time to read so much? I subscribed to
Taste of Home, Quick Cooking, Light & Tasty, and Country
Discoveries. I have let them all expire except Light & Tasty.
My problem is I spend so much time on the computer that I
don't have time to read them. I find lots of good articles and
recipes on the computer.
