What Made You Smile Today?

With all the negativity in life now-a-days, and all the disappointing news, and the sad economy, I thought it would be neat if we could share each day something that just made you smile.

Mine is from yesterday:

We just got a new puppy a week and a half ago, my DS is 5 1/2 y.o. he had the puppy on the leash, and the puppy went potty outside, it just made me smile to hear my 5 1/2 y.o. saying "Good gurl good gurl, potty out."

It was really cute the way her pronounces girl.

So, what made you smile today?

The same thing that makes me smile everyday, my nephews Gabriel, Elijah and Jakob, and their baby sister Delilah.

They are so sweet, funny, loving.
Eli and Jake always say I love you this much.

Delilah is always smiling, and Gabe will help me if I need something done like picking up the toys, etc.

I was going through old school papers from all 4 of my kids and found a pretty poem that my youngest daughter had written in 7th grade titled "When You Hear the Angels Sing" (but it was tucked away and I had never seen it but she had signed it and dated it...), then found a note of apology from my son "Dear Mom, I am sorry for being disrespectful this morning, yet I did get a lot of things done this morning. I really needed to finish my paper before the weekend because I have a busy weekend ahead. I'm Sorry! Love, Chad (he was always famous for leaving short notes either asking for a favor or for an apology at the foot of my bed or at my pillow...) Just not sure about which of the disrespectful moments this was! Gotta love them all

Stuie watched part of Toy Story today. Scared the daylights out of him. lol The way he plays with his toys and tears them up, I can see why the movie scared him. He hid behind Jasmine. Silly dog.

It was yesterday and the joy of selling 2 small stuffed toys.. Batman and Superman to a small child who could afford the 25 cents sticker, how happy he was to get them. Another child bought a large Pooh Bear stuffed animal and he hugged it to him with joy. It's nice to know in this day and age of techy stuff that stuffed animals still create joy in the hearts of young children.

Children.. they are truly what life is all about.

What made me smile today

Good smile: Reading posts from friends/family on FB (this is a daily thing)...
BAD smile: Telling off the person in GA at the Postbox that my sister can send w/o extra charge mail / packages to me at the UPS store in AZ where I get my mail daily (at least until the end of August, then it will be someplace in MD).
Happiest smile: being asked what made me smile today... later tonight I'll smile for the good again b/c I will have reviewed pictures of my 2 y/o grandniece out w/her Aunt today.
