When my kids were babies up until they were a couple of years old I put Vicks on the bottom of their feet when they had colds. It always seemed to help.

Buck is on more meds now and dosage changed on one that he was taking.
My hip is better and do not wear the belt all the time. I have 4 very sore spots from the metal.
Do wear it when I scrub floors, do laundry and so on.
Train, I did love the story about your dress up date with hubby. I think I would have kept the dress on.
Buck always wears jeans and a t-shirt at home. When we do go someplace he does put a shirt on.
I agree some men are big babies when sick. But not all. Buck does not like being waited on. And he is not constantly complaining. My son is not a baby either.
Bar_bar, love the doggie pics. You asked how tall I was. Before back surgery I was 4'11". After the surgery 4'9". Lost 2 inches. As if I wasn't already short enough.

We have very little snow and have had only a couple of days of -25 wind chill.

I'm sorry Buck has to be on more medication. How is he doing with his blockage problem? Glad to hear you don't have to wear the belt all the time too.
My Step Dad and my step-sister both have had the blockage problems. They both have had heart surgery and my sister actually had stents in her legs until they did the blockage repair on her legs.
I have just been working and trying to get through a bunch of magazines.

Buck has 7 stents in his chest and 1 in his left leg. They will not do anymore stents. They will try clearing blockages up with meds. If that doesn't work it will be by-pass surgery if it is bad enough.
Don't really know how son is doing. He doesn't want me to come and see him and doesn't tell me much of anything.
Connie, it was announced on the radio this morning that the Milwaukee Brewer Stadium will have 3 sections peanut controlled for 3 home games next season. This is in response to a letter the Brewers received from a 6 yr old boy who said he could never go to a ballgame because they sell peanuts and he is allergic to them. How cool is that!! I would imagine they will see how well it works and how many people use these sections before deciding to do it every year.
Have to go to the dentist this afternoon for teeth cleaning. Ugh!

I know how men are when they are sick. At my house it is "Oh, I wanna die. Someone shoot me." When I am sick, I go to work, come home make dinner and then clean up. And do it again the next day.
I had the flu two weeks ago, I went to work and took care of three sick kids. DH was sick the following week, he came home from work early, then stayed home the following day.
I don't get on here much any more due to no computer access at work. I miss it so much.

Hi everyone, Just subbing for now, been a busy week, and an even busier weekend, everything seems to come up at once they cant be spread out during the month lol, we have 2 birthday partys and 1 reunion dinner this weekend (the dinner is in Conn) some of Darryls high school buddies and wives, we will go to that, the 2 birthdays, will make a short appearance at both, (they arent family) so I wont feel bad leaving early. On my way out with my dd she stopped by to help me pick out something to wear to the dinner, so we are going over to the Mall and gonna try a few places there,hope this doesnt turn out to be a long process, my oldest gd is here too, so I know I will get the "truth" lol as to how something looks, she is so outspoken,lol. Sharon, I always figure you to be a taller woman than that. Do hope Buck will be alright, and sorry you not able to see your son, that has to be painful.. I know not seeing my is painful.. and there is no health problem on his part, but knowing your does and not able to see him, ooch that has to be hard on you.
Amazing how we picture someone before we met them, or before we learn more about them... and it the little things that seems to never get spoken.. like the height of a person, not that it matters, but we draw an opinion to learn later it not what we think.. LOL.
The puppies yes we are goign to sell them.. We as it would be Gloria's husband female dog and my male dog.. and Gloria is the step mom to both. LOL.. I know he has been one busy little male dog.. just like a male. LOL...
Rain came again today, but clear now..
Yesterday Gloria and I got with a red hat member for lunch and a little bit of shopping. The store we went to is called Charming Charlie. THey have a sale area, which I found a pair of pretty purple earrings for $1. and the sale was the kind that if you buy one you get one free. I looked and looked to see if I could find anything else for $1, but couldn't.. so I just bought another pair of earrings like the first pair.. Figure I could give them away at that price to a red hat secret sister. or use them for something..
I felt they were marked wrong, but no when I got up to the register it rung up for that amount.. Great Bargain, I would say.
I found out the memorial of my friend that passed away a wk ago tomorrow, will be in the morning. I was beginnning to wonder when it would be..Sad how memorial, funerals brings people together that you may not seen in a long time.. that one doesn't see until things like that.. but you thankful you know you will see some of them....
