How was your day?

Well it's only lunch time here, Cameron is still on school summer holidays for another 3 weeks.
Hubby takes 2 weeks off over the christmas/new year season, oh fun oh joy, it's nice to have him home but boy he drives you nuts after a week of being underfoot ..... how will I handle retirement in 20-odd years time LOL

My excitement for the day was a tumble compost bin for the vege garden, yippee!

So how was your day?

OMG! I could write a book on the subject! Here goes some of it! lol

Had a 9 am appt at the dental school; they agreed the toothache was going to require an extraction. So finally at 2 pm I got that done. Home sore and hoping I don't get a dry socket. Then later have to have a bridge done for the missing tooth! $48 to have the extraction and $1600 to do the bridge! Yikes!!!! No insurance , but luckily you only put down 25% and then can make monthly payments for 1 year with no interest!

Had another tidbit; the expedetion blew a spark plug yesterday as I was trying to get the above done then! It is in the repair shop now so.... and the neon has a radiator leak; so my three things have already piled up for the new year! Hope yours is starting better than mine!

It's only morning here at the moment but I'm planning on some washing, hubby goes back to work next friday so we are going out to a new hardware/homewares store a few suburbs over. We have to pick up a few groceries and ds2 has to mow the lawn, lets see how the day goes and if these things do get done!

Let's see. stopped to pick up some road sidefirewood, DH, I can't lift yet...well he pulled his back so he has been on the heating pad all day, slowly getting better, but no work for 2 days in the building. He doesn't like help when he can't be there to "assist" as he calls it.

So I am taking it slow and bringing firewood in for the evening, took down the clothes on the line and folded them, have to empty the recycle bucket yet, have half the chickens, cats, and dogs done.

Dogs are barking so maybe someone coming up the drive; better go check it out and get another load of firewood brought up.

So hows your day so far?

My day sucked. Buck is in the hospital again. They are doing another cath. Has fluid in the lungs, chest pain and can't breathe very well.

My hip is out of place again. My car won't start. Had it towed to the garage.

My son's cancer has spread to the lungs. He starts pallative chemo this month. The word pallative tells the story.

Hi Sharon and Cat

I got all those things listed above done today, I bought a magazine with card fronts/embellishments in the middle, I took them all out, scanned and saved so I will those papers on tap for whenever. I put all the washing away and went to curves.
I also made some sweet honey buns, new recipe, they were huge and not very honey like, bummer.
My guys are out getting pizza for dinner as I refused to cook and they didn't want to cook either lol

Oh and while out driving, I wish people would use their indicators to say they are going to turn, that way I wouldn't almost run up your backside when you stop to turn

Yesterday was not a good day. Daycare children hadn't seen each other in two weeks so there was lots of screaming, yelling, throwing of toys and general chaos and one little boy ended up throwing up all over me, himself and the living room carpet. I got us all cleaned up and the floor cleaned and then parents came.
It is now 8 a.m. and the dc children are all back and so far so good. It is much quieter today but I am still keeping my eye on the little boy. He just has a bad cold so threw up yesterday due to the cold so I am hoping it doesn't happen again to
day. Let's just say I am glad it is Friday!

Kathy, this is a great thread!

DH is still down with his back. I washed clothes, hung them out and hope they dry as maybe sprinkles in the morning. Left DH at home on heating pad this morning and went to bank, post office, grocery, and visited with our Amish neighbors. Picked up the flyer for he Amish community garden this year. Will do the full share $400, starts May 1 until frost gets it all. We go by once a week a pick up a banana size box of whatever fruits and vegetables are ready each week!

Since his back is out, I need to bring in firewood for the night, and gather and clean eggs, feed and waer all the chickens, dogs and cats.

Cat I'm going to show I'm ignorance as I've only seen Amish in the movies so only know the basics, I take it they are are a pretty self sufficient community, do you see them much?
Hope hubby feels better soon.

I am back to morning again and it's a pretty drab, dull and slightly drizzling day so far.
I picked up my new Janet Evanovich book from the library yesterday and seeming it's rainin might just sit down and read, it is saturday after all lol

Today was a much better day. The daycare children kept me very busy but they were back to the usual selves and very well behaved. Dd had to go to the dentist because of a painful tooth and found out she needs to have 3 wisdom teeth pulled. It's going to be almost 2 weeks before she gets them out so that will not be fun. I am glad today is Friday and the weekend is ahead. We got a dusting of snow but it will all melt tomorrow when we get temps in the 40's. Such strange weather for NH in January.
